How much do you spend on lights

Recommended Posts

Hi, we just bought $600 worth of lights from DK Lightings.

The shop is ran by a husband and wife team, must say they are very friendly and the price is reasonable. :dunno:

$600 worth of lights includes:

2 Living room Long Lights

2 Bathroom Round Lights

3 Bedroom Dark Wood Plastic Rim Square Lights

2 Master Bedroom Wall Lights (Ice-cube Types)

2 Kitchen Round Lights

1 Kitchen Hanging Lights

Total 12 Lights, Average 50 per light

From that list, we think its quite a bargain, plus they will personally send them to you, so any problem can settle on the spot.

So for those who are interested, here's there address :

DK Lightings (Near the petrol station)

642 Geylang Road Singapore 389574

Tel : 6741 1335 Fax: 6741 1779

Took a bus no. 21 from Tampines, and alight after the City Plaza bus-stop.

Disclaimer : Trying to do a favour to those who are looking for lights, so just did a search to find all the related topics, and paste the same reply

hi cornetto ! are ur squarish bedroom side lights the ones with design ? those are nice !

most likely we'll get the small table lamps from ikea as well once the house is completed.

oh. the rooms and living room also has ceiling fans with lights. so including those, i would have spent a total of abt 1.8k.

Hi..

We just got our lights at L*ghts Arc*de.. total of 1.7k.. kiv 300 for a pair of lights which we are not too sure of yet.. the rest include 21 downlights, a mix of single and double tube, 19 loose fittings for cove lights, 2 round toilet lights, 1 rectangular kitchen light and 1 round bedroom light and 1 dining chandelier.

i think the range there is not a lot of designer looking ones so unless you are looking for more designer lights, you can check out this place.

if you like designer looking ones, can check out park mall.. lights are nice and quite a lot of difference from balestier or jalan besar, but price wise also as 'nice' :notti:

if you are looking for affordable and nice looking chandelier, you might like to check out pan tech and italu collection (the bigger store at the end of balestier)

So pretty right?? got this specially for the children!

It's bright too! 3-tube PLL

This is our costliest light at $185 for the TV corner.

This is with 2-tube PLL $100 ea

36W x 2 = 72W

without LED (forgot to take pix)

(Lumiere quoted $162.91 for this!)

1197923549_ac855c21f8_m.jpg

Butterfly tube 38W $45

1197923997_58c666c5e1_m.jpg

Wall light 22W using T5 tube (instant on, no flickering)

T5 tubes cost between $6 - $8 per tube

$45 x 2 = $90

Extreme Lighting quoted $55 for similar

Peanut light/Ice Cube 10W $35

1197924967_1562aaafde_m.jpg

foyer downlight $18

1198788790_1f430dcee8_m.jpg

Silver Toilet Light $38

2 x PLC 13

Extreme quoted $48

I got my doorbell from DK too for $38 coz i couldn't find time to go to Kelantan Lane to get my Friedland Wired Big Ben doorchime.

DK is next to the Esso Petrol Kiosk in between Lorong 38 and 40. i walked through 3-4 lighting shops in Balestier before getting my lighting haul at the best prices in Geyland. But i think Kelantan Lane is also a good place to shop for lights.

bought my lights from palace lights.. its actually same with strass lightings..

very disappointed with their service cum goods..

after sales service and before is totally diff.. for ppl that intnd to go there, you will only noticed good before sales service.. but after sales.. very bad.. cos if u got manufacturing defects lights they no 1 don ans call, no 2 push responsibility, no 3 this strass will only tell u that they are technical side don do sales.. liar..

no 4 even if they send technician, is jus a bagadash that know nothing..

no 5 never punctual for technical repairs..
