obeygiant 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 got a light as a gift i really like from a friend but it is a 110v. would like to know if i can use it in Singapore and if not, how can i convert it to 240v? do i just change the bulb? it is basically a plug->cable->switch->lightbulb holder->bulb so wondering if i change the bulb it will be ok? yoongf 11 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 If there is no dimmer involved, and it's nothing related to high voltage stuff, a 110V lamp can be used to operate on 230V, by simply changing the plug. Wirings are usually rated for current limitations, rather than voltage range.
