Jolie_Shinju 0 Report post Posted September 22, 2009 (edited) Hi We also just put a deposit down on ALLBEST. Now got to check on the warranty. We got LG non-invertor (at a promo price), sys 3, 1749 nett, including installation, etc. Can someone comment on this price? Installed a Toshiba Inverter4 system 2weeks ago: - Service feedback on All Best. - air compressor unit came 2hours late. Sales side never even call to inform of whatever the delay. Service poor. - after install one of the aircon unit at my bedroom encountered leak. - called technician and found aircon unit discharge piping leak. seal again and problem seems to be resolved. Quality Issue. - subsequent week my frends came and complained my aircon not cold even at 17deg setting. They also complained that my service balcony is very hot 35degs (uncomfortable) after the compressor was installed. - called All Best and a newly joined technician came and said my compressor unit facing into the service balcony thats why hot. So that means previous guy install wrong way. - All Best almost wanted me pay for new replacement of L bracket. - this could be the reason why the compressor is not cooling the rooms sufficiently. Suspect either the compressor got problem or the facing of the compressor really got problem. - heard from the new guy that alot of the experienced technicians left All Best. - current buyers must monitor their work carefully and never believe in what they say coz they will beat around the bush. be firm with them. - now still stuck with the aircon not cold enough issue. - they ask me call and feedback to Toshiba. - Toshiba agent came and checked (with meter) ambient can only reach 26deg in 1hr. - i set at 17deg yet cannot acheive desired. - say due to delta temperature difference ok and aircon works. - now i suspect either compressor or piping got issue. - this already drag 3weeks, probably got to accept this situation. - sad, no energy to fight these pple but to ask you guys to be careful. - my current house 12yr old aircon even much cooler. Jolie_Shinju 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Went to CASE on Mon, and Tues they called and explain carefully and say will have to arrange for Joint Inspection with Toshiba. Wed morning no news, called them and make a trip to IMM All Best (with intention to make an ugly scene) to get them to confirm the arrangement. Confirmed and everything set. Will update again.. xircon 0 Report post Posted September 30, 2009 Hi all, Went to All Best today and was served by Uncle Teo, a very friendly and knowledgeable salesman. Was quoted the following price: Mitsubishi Electric Inverter Sys 3 (9000+9000+9000) = $2600 ME Inverter Sys 2 (13000+10000) = S$2206 ME Non-Inverter Sys 3 = S$1700 ME Non-Inverter Sys 2 = S$1399 Any feedback about the pricing? These are nett prices. Thanks!
chipee 0 Report post Posted October 1, 2009 I understand the many aircon problems and workmanship issues. But I'm unlikely to recommend Allbest. Their installation is not good enough & the materials degrade over time. Merely 3 years, I'm facing water leakage problem due to their poor workmanship. All these is going to cause lotsa hassle & dammage, not to mention money incurred for all the repairs.

End up All Best more expensive by $150. > pls ask around. > most importantly is find a good installer based on friend's recommendation. > check from all forums you can find. Wed morning no news, called them and make a trip to IMM All Best (with intention to make an ugly scene) to get them to confirm the arrangement. Confirmed and everything set. Will update again.. Today again Toshiba agent proved to be useless. Check temperature only. All Best at least they opened up the casing to check for bendings at 90degs. Can anyone enlighten me? What is the purpose of getting an aircon if the fan coil cannot reach comfortable temperature within a short time. Then what is the pupose of setting the remote control temperature at 20deg if it can never reach that temperature? Pls! I am not asking for 17 degs in 30mins. I am asking for 24degs in 30mins. Called a few companies to verify; one of them said it takes at most 10mins to settle to 24degs....
Joanna 0 Report post Posted October 14, 2009 Hi peeps, I've narrowed down my aircon selection to getting the Mitshibitshi Easy Clean Non-Invertor System 3. But now the problem lies......who to get it from? 1) All Best Cheapest of them all, however, reviews are very mixed. Kinda scared of them after reading the neg reviews on the workmanshipcustomer service and problems specially on other forums like singap*rebrides.com 2) Gain City Prices are the highest however the reviews are alright. Service depends on the sales guy and where u ask? e,g, @ Marina Sq or IMM 3) C**lServe Pricing is mid range between the 3 of them and customer service is good. But how come canot use the full name on renotalk ah? hmmm The price diff between them is about $100 - $200 after all the insulation upgrades are added. I just wan to have a good installation done without any future problems. What do u guy think? Any comments or advise? Or any other places you would recommend? discoburg 0 Report post Posted November 24, 2009 Just got my aircons installed today by Gain City. In the midst of installation i had to go back to office. After some work matters is settled i went back to my new place. No one is in anymore but the living room a/c unit is left running with it being wrapped up to prevent some damage done to it. Condensation happened and the whole bag wrapping the unit is wet. If i had not gone back, i wonder how many days will the aircon be left on.
megko 0 Report post Posted January 8, 2011 I have just bought a system 2 from gain city as they have a promo for trade-in (my 10 year air con is no longer working). Why I go to gain city? 1. The aire-control people who serviced the air con kept making us pay for the chemical wash and in the end still run into problems (not cold, noisy and finally breakdown). They suggested getting a new system. 2. Called a technician recommended from NTUC, who came and charged us $450 for a condenser.... 3. 3 mths later one of the fan coil is no longer working. Aire-Control and the Ntuc technicia both said really must change. I oredi spent $450 plus servicing plus chemical wash , all for nothing. So in the end, refused to get from either of them, saw an advert for trade-in promo at gain city and decided to go with them. Trade in means $100/- off the new system. Piping no need to change, so another $100/- off. Also buy up their $299/- 5 years warranty on the aircon. The service and their installation technician are really quite good. wrc 1 Report post Posted May 25, 2015 won't recommend buying from All Best, salesman at the shop said the removal of the existing air con fees can be waived and any site survey will warrant a $80 charge. Because I bought a re-sale flat, so definitely will need to remove the existing air con to plaster my wall and also another site survey to discuss where the trucking are for my false celling etc. They went ahead to charge me $80 for removal and another $80 for site survey with strictly NO ROOM for nego. Way too rigid to run a business this way. Salesman later backed out to say the removal charge cannot be waived.Just sharing my bed experience. Definitely my first and last time with ALL BEST.
