Need Fengshui Advice On My Floorplan

Recommended Posts

HDBf-1.jpg

Need to enquire on the following procedure:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Step 1: Go to your main door, standing in-line with the door frame looking out, take a compass reading (use a good engineer compass). Take 3 steps back and take another reading.

Step 2: Go to the side of your house with the most windows and take a reading.

Step 3: Stand in the centre of your house and take another reading.

Post all these readings together with your floor plan. If possible, provide pics of both the exterior and interior of the house.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For step 2 What does it mean with the most windows? Is it the most window panels or the largest window area? As seen from the floormap above, I should take my compass reading from the balcony (no window at present but going to install) or bedroom 3 (having the most window panels)

By the way, I forgot how to use a compass. Can anyone teach me how to use a compass? Is there any other additional requirements that I need to take in order to have my house fengshui read accurately?

Sorry for being noob.

Can anybody help? Thanks.

Hi there,

Briefly, you need to take the bearing of where you are facing.

But before your bearing can be taken, you need to align the "N" marking (on the compass) with the compass needle.

(I assume the marked end of the needle point to "North" - check your manual if there is one, or check with the sun).

Examples:

if the needle point " to your left", your reading should be somewhere 90.

if the needle pont " to your right", your reading should be somewhere 270.

if the needle point "to you", your reading should be somewhere 180

I hope you can understand as its pretty hard to explain here.

For more detailed instructions, I think browsing the internet will help. :)

Hello

I can now see the degree marking but need to clarify. Maybe its better that you draw an arrow and point to me the north.

Your mbr is having the bed in the way of the doorway. Switch the bed over to the direct opposite.

You should install mirror walls around your foyer area. TV console partition is limiting your space around the three rooms. You should not place a partion beside your dining without first investigating the FS Qi.

Check and see if you can put additional bright halogen lights outside your main door.

Hi Mr Chong,

I have already darken the arrow and indicate north near the arrowhead. I have edited the floor plan, can u help me see whether there is still any problem for the fengshui? How about the kitchen? U mentioned putting additional bright halogen lights outside my main door -- Is there any other way? Y need to put lights outside the main door? How many lights u proposed? I am puting the TV console partition is to prevent people from seeing the three rooms or do you have a better solution? Thanks for your advice.

Hello

The very first impression was your corridor. This curvature is not condusive for the Qi and your house and Qi entering your house. (You ought to provide exterior pics so that I can have a better picture of what's going on....remember I'm not on site and I'm depending on each and every info here).

On the interior as a whole, yours is a funnel shape and this type of particular shape has very uneven management of Qi. Unlike others, you should concentrate to design space at your door, foyer and lower half of the floor plan.

Putting a light (one only) outside your main door is a very general and applicable help but to what extend will depend on how your exterior looks like. There are forummers who took pics outside around their door or outside their windows and posted them here. You can try. Once done then I can suggest further to reinforce.

You can't place your bed just beside your mbr door. In this way you'll benefit very little. Switch it over to the wall where you intend to place your tv console. But don't attach to the wall of air-con ledge. Though facing the 2 windows, drawing thick curtains or blinds can do the job.

Your living partition is again creating a funnel or triangular shape causing the occupants of both the room and kitchen (door facing each other) to be worse than a normal door to door formation.

Although within the kitchen, your water basin and stove seems to be in the right direction, this is secondary and you should place the stove in the direction of about 300 deg (cabinet area) and the basin at the stove location.

It is preferred that you don't have to big a shoe rack and don't occupy too much space there.

As for the TV console in the living , try to design it horizontally than vertically.

You have indicated a fish tank at your balcony. As your Qi flows is peculiar, I can't just determine off the floorplan. You are advised not to be so hasty in putting up a fish tank (It can do a lot of damages if not properly placed). Wait until you settle down, you can bring up this subject again. Bear in mind yours is not like other house plan, so don't any how take advices from FS.

Put more effort and concentration around your door location/area first.
