Phantom 1 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 Most of the time startup slowness could likely be due to the startup services in your local machine. You can always out look for the no of service startup in the control panel. Is there any fail startup services?...Any system agents running like inventory collection? Any software update services? GPO objects running backend? logon script?... virus realtime startup scan? ...So many things running on the background of a user's machine..... Hmm. It seems like could be the 1) Vista update service2) Virus Realtime scan/updateWill go back and check. on this. oh yah. I also have this program that loads itself everytime. its supposed to be a webseminar program .. might need to delete that away..from the spec i see it can up to 8GB. somemore if u open a program which need quite a lot of virtual memory then u need to better take care on open "extra programs".as vista alone take up quite a big memory. yours is premium business or ultimate?haha... dont need 2 x 8800 la.. just that from what i know 7900 not that good in terms of graphic card. wa sei, so fast become mod liaoz... wahahaha... congratz...Mine is the normal vista.. not the business or ultimate. too expensive. But i heard from other ppl that the bottleneck is around 4gb after which extra ram is negligible in terms of performance.mine is the 7900 GS Sonic. 256mb leh.. not the normal 7900..Thanks. fresh from the oven today.
