kitchen matters 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 Thanks KM, your input certainly helps alot. It was quite a steal at $545 in comparing $1800 for Brandt867 (even knowing how good it is) I can always upgrade to a better one in a few yrs time is 56litres consider bad then? I also have the microwave + grill (link) what r your views? Hi berry_surprise, sorry for the delay , 56 litres is good enough as in the past the capacity of the ooven is only 51 litres .And with Turbo fan , you may purchase extra racks and do cookies ( Just remember to lower the Temp. for example cook book indicate 180 degree , lower to 160 degree as with Turbo Fan the heat is stronger or you may consider shorten the time . Remember to pre heat your oven once install as to blow out the smell. ( Turn to Top & Bottom Heat With Fan , 180 degree for 15 minutes. ) As for microwave + grill products , you may grill small portion or heat up food but try to min. useing often . KM sorry for the delay
kitchen matters 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 Hi KM, THnks for ur reply.. sory for the late reply, been bz... Went to electrolux sales but nothing attracts me... My husband says the electrolux oven's design are such that the front part is sticking out from the cabinet, whereas the other brands like Brandt and Bosch are in line with the cabinet so he dun like Electrolux... we went to Millenia Harvey Norman thinking of buying either Brandt or Bosch but no sales person ard... so end up didn't buy anything. Btw, can u adv if rinnai RBO-7MRX and RBO-5CSI is good? coz my relative can get disc for Rinnai...tot that if they are abt $800 (my budget), then I can consider. Many thnks in advance! Hi Xianee ; sorry for the late reply , RBO 7 MRX is a 7 cooking program Oven but the retail price is $850 /xx and RBO-5CSI is a 4 cooking program oven retail at $650/xx but for the RBO-5CSI does not come with Turbo Fan as this can distrubute the heat evenly ( for cookies ) And if i not mistaken it only have 3 program as it add the Oven Light into it . Can consider Ariston FB 51.2 IX retail at promotion price $600+++ or even Teka Oven . As for the RBO-7MRX come with self clean panel , cut off timer , 7 cooking program ( minus the light become 6 ) and turbo fan . If compare theses 2 i say RBO-7MRX still ok Remember to pre heat the oven once install and always pre heat once a month sorry for the late reply KM
kitchen matters 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 hi KM, any recoomendations for a built-in oven in the range of $600-$800 with turnspit? Hi biz ; You may consider : Electrolux EOB 31002X at $799/xx Bosch HBN 331E2J at $749/xx Brandt FE811XS1 at $899/xx Tenkei TEK 62 IX at $559/xx But most model now does not come with turnspit as it has Turbo Fan built in . With Turnspit theres pro and con as the food get to turn aand the base of the food will be well bake and grill but cleaning wise may be a headache as it quite sharp. As for Turbo Fan assist , it will distrubute the heat evenly but some ppl do say that the base is not grill or bake at all. But when grill a chicken or meat you may just leave the meat on the rack and the base is expose to the heat Are you planning for replacement or for new kitchen ? And how many program you prefer ? Colour of oven ? sorry for the late reply KM

GOOD Buy Brandt FE811XS1 retail at $899.00 Multi Function Oven / Knob control / Temp. recom / Cut off timer / New Danish design / 2 glass door / 6 cooking programs / 1 large tray (20mm) / 2 rack ( for baking of multi rack - cookies / 52 litres Brandt FC842XS1 Retail at $1399.00 Multi function / Catalytic ( self clean panels = it will absob the oil while grilling and it will min. the cleaning of the inner of the oven . ) / 6 cooking program / Full glass inner door / +++ 45cm drip tray to hold the oil while grilling and you may place some carrots , potatos , onions on it while grilling and all the favour of the oil will drip down . kitchen matters 0 Report post Posted June 15, 2010 hi km, i'm new to this forum am looking for new oven to buy. read through the entire thread on build-in oven and came to a conclusion of Brandt FE811XS1 and Electrolux EOB31001X seriously, which is better? i cant decide the price is almost similar. its hard to choose can u help me? million thanks!! Hi msmine, sorry for the late reply , Brandt model comes with bottom heat ( which can do Kui La Pic ) & Pizza . It can brown or crisp the food . As both are quite same . Is just down to the design of the Oven too ( Example Knobs , Oven handle ) Electrolux may have a upper hand So is a Tie But for cooking program wise i think Brandt is quite a good buy and if i not mistaken is $100 cheaper than Electrolux ( retail price ) But go and check with those electrical dealers , can get it cheaper And for the brandt model you may add the self clean panels ( It will absob the oil when grilling , it will min. the cleaning only )in future too ( optional ) And it comes with 2 racks and one 20mm deep tray . So you will save on the extra rack . And if bake or grill non stop for 10 hrs it will shut off it self for safety reason . sorry for the late reply KM
Berry10 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2010 Hi KM I am looking for a rectangular shape oven (the longish type). Do you know which are available & where to buy? Roughly how much it cost. My La Germania oven is spoilt & i try looking for spare part - bottom heater (1300W). Do you know anywhere got sell beside the agent? I think a generic heater will do as they function the same. Thanks!

Thanks in advance. Hi Joseeng ; greetings is actually fine as long not to near. Some designer built a plank infront of the PUB pipe but the oven may not fit in . As now , most brand oven comes with tangential ventalation - it will blow out hot air once the oven reach a certain Temp. thanks alot KM

ne0mesis 0 Report post Posted June 16, 2010 (edited) after following tis topic for quite awhile, have finally decided to get brandt FC842XS1 for the following reasons 1. turnspit 2. catalytic panels for easier cleaning (last heard, panels need not necessary change annually. for home use, change once every 3 yrs is fine. of course, subjected to frequency of use too. damage is $187 inclusive of all the panels, delivery and installation from brandt.) 3. feel is definitely more sturdy than tat of bosch plastic-like doors and joined parts. Brandt interior frames comes in one single piece Point on Bosch ecolyse technology - as heard, is catalytic panels but similar to tat of pyrolytic cleaning however at 200+ degrees only. seemingly, it will take longer time i.e more electricity of course, I think i like to call brandt and bosch directly if possible to verify the above. but more than happy to hear insights first from all the folks in here too. yr comments definitely welcome! afternote: I call Brandt directly. and is confirmed - for home use, change once every 3 yrs is fine. of course, subjected to frequency of use too. the panels come in a pair @ $150. simple diy instructions on how to change Edited June 17, 2010 by ne0mesis

titanax 0 Report post Posted June 18, 2010 (edited) 3. feel is definitely more sturdy than tat of bosch plastic-like doors and joined parts. Brandt interior frames comes in one single piece this is interesting, coz this was the same reason we went the other way, the brandt model we saw was a single piece glass with it had screws on all 4 sides & the inner frame was padding were 2 pieces, the bosch on the other hand was a single paned glass & finished in single piece. How bizarre indeed! Edited June 18, 2010 by titanax
