Shortlisted a few and the one top of the list asked for an initial deposit in a few thousands and then a further deposit up to 50% of total expenditure one month before the event. Thx.my wedding hotel (swissotel the stamford) told us to make a deposit of $4000. then 1 week before the wedding, we got to settle full payment. we can use cheque, cash or extend credit cards limits. we settled using cheque or cash 1 week before our wedding. its also good la to work out in such a way so that after the wedding you dont have to bother about the payment! cheekybee 0 Report post Posted March 9, 2008 My banquet hotel required us to make a deposit of 3k upon signing of contract...the rest was paid after the banquet...they were really nice to bill us only when we check out of the bridal suite the next day....
