kajua 1 Report post Posted April 27, 2008 (edited) Yesterday went to wihardja warehouse sale at ubi. We were one day late as sales started on 25th apr (fri) and the salesperson told us a lot of stuff have been wiped out on the first day liao. we were like Nevertheless, we still managed to get our sofa, coffee table, tv console, dining set, filing cabinet and a side console for fishtank. Total damage: 2.4k Now my FH heartache liao Payment was a hassle for us as it has to be made in full, even though the sofa we need to wait about 2 months for stock arrival. And no acceptance of credit card, only Nets or cash. My FH tried to pay by Nets and it hits the withdrawal limit!!! End up we had to ask the cashier to hold our purchase and we drove around ubi to search for ATM machine. These are our "hard-earned" purchase Daybed as sofa and coffee table(will be in darker shade) Dining table but a different type of chair (will be in darker shade) Can't find the pics of other purchase from wihardja website, so cannot post yet. kajua 1 Report post Posted April 28, 2008 Brought my parents and siblings to view our unit yesterday. They have their own houses and also been through their own renovation. They pointed out a lot of the little things that Steven did for us which we never noticed ourselves Things like little studs on the cabinet so that the doors wont slam into the cabinet. We thought it was a norm but my brother said for him he had to put it himself The magnetic door stopper, my FH and I thought Steven just painted it over but actually he gave us new ones FOC!! (we checked with him) Shower door he put a little stud on the wall so that wont slam against the wall and quite a few other little things a touches we took for granted that was the norm all ID/contractor would do but was pointed out to us that usually they dont or its chargeable. kajua 1 Report post Posted May 3, 2008 (edited) Friday 2nd of May Fridge came Bed came Mattress came Washing machine came Dining table and display cabinet came Super duper backache and sore arms and thighs came also... from all the washing and cleaning and wiping and moping of the house. Didnt know there was so much dust. This after Steven had already got his guys to clean our place 2-3 times before the handover. Where did all that dust come from ITS A LOT OF WORK!!! I even made my FH wash and clean all the left over tiles that are not in the boxes He was running around the balcony with pail and sponge washing them in the afternoon sun. We have afternoon sun at the balcony, so it must have been hot. Good thing was with the afternoon sun, everything dried up very fast Now got to figure out what to do with all those tiles. Thats the problem with choosing a variety of tiles for the house, end up with a lot of leftovers. A bit from each adds up to a lot. Last minutre Wihardja called to say they had no stock of the tv console we bought, so had to indent. Sigh another 60 days wait for it. Hopefully it comes together with the sofa day bed. Our dining table from Wihardja couldn't fit through the door way, in the end they had to dismantle the legs. Good thing they could dismantle it. According to the delivery guys, previous models could not be dismantled and they had to return it. Sigh hope the day bed dont have this problem. Oh yeah the fridge delivery man saw the way our built in oven was placed next to the fridge, he told us we need to open vent holes else the heat will spoil the oven. We showed him the vent hole Steven drilled for us , opening into the same space the fridge went into, the guy say his might spoil the fridge, he said we should have open it the other side and put a computer fan there to suck out the hot air. Something about the hot air spoiling the electronic components . Guess we have to drill the holes ourself next time. Those of you who have the same design for oven and fridge, might wanna take note of this. Bought those furry furry stickers you can stick to the bottom of the tables and chairs. Wonderful stuff, now we can easily move our furniture around cause its so smooth and it wont scratch the tiles Pictures next time...now just too tired Edited May 3, 2008 by kajua
