I can understand the feeling of wanting to grab the cheapest deal where the hse havent even start reno yet. Me also make the same mistake last time.

i wld recommend gain city at IMM 2nd flr. the shop only display tv but they sell other electrical applicances like fridge, washing machine. as long as u know the model and the cheapest quote that u got elsewhere, they most likely able to match lower. just got my panasonic inverter fridge NR B402V fridge for $845 (plus free $50 NTUC voucher) when their display price is actually $939. and 7.5 kg toshiba washer AW-8960 for $345. delivery free. have went to courts, best denki, asia excel, gain city price is the cheapest.

how about Mega Discount Store @ Katong Mall?

Managed to get very good prices from them amongst other places like HN and Courts.

e.g. LG 37" LC7 model HN was selling for 1699 and i called Mega and my sales guy matched the price.

Electical appliances are like PCs. They are technology based. You should try to get them last because as new models and better technologies come out, the older models will become cheaper. Take for example, I wanted to get a 50inch Pioneer Plasma - HD Ready for my place. In Dec 07, the thing was selling for $7999 at HN. In Feb 08, it was selling for $5999, all in a matter of 2 months!!
