Can i ask.. because my house layout..the main door is facing a wall. beside e door is the window.hm..in the living room..half of it is facing the window. but..have a store room.my question..is..er..To put a altar, is it based on the ba zhi of the owner?. how am i going to check it.?And..altar put near store room, or link to store room is it bad? I juz 'shui yi' give an ang bao for his time n good deed, n its consider a donation to the temple... no specific amount.....if I am not wrong, monk will not actually collect $$ for any service.... hmm correct me if I am wrong. rugged28 0 Report post Posted January 10, 2008 It depends on which deity you intend to invite. But generally link to store doesn't sound like you respect them lah. Buddhas and bodhisattvas prefer quiet corner. Normally monks is sui yuan, still it all depends on how comfortable you are with the monk. If you think you are fine with paying a fixed rate then go ahead. As long as throughout the process you bear no anger or unhappiness. By right, you still have to be the one who invites the deity to come and 'reside' in your quarters and you should be in the right frame of mind.
