Not exactly. Less than $10 psf for 300 x600mm can get already.

Btw, what range do you have in mind. The grey or red grain.

Labour cost is quite ex, about $10psf.

Thanks, my wife is looking at white marble. I have no idea about grey or red grain. But i would like to have white marble (got to be natural not compressed) for my whole living room. Can you elaborate what i shd be looking for and also how to select. Thanks.

check this places at sungei kadut , there a few company selling marble there price fromm $8 to $28 per sqf.. i personally like the white onyx but $28 per sqf put me off.

anyone know how to convert per square meter to per square foot, someone quoted me $100 per square meter, i am not sure how to compare this to the psf. TIA.

Ask for pre-select of marble to ensure uniformity for your entire living/dinning area. They will lay all marbles for you based on your floor plan. Your contractor will marked them accordingly so that the entire layout will be uniform.

That will cost addition $1 ~ $2 psf.

Quite diffcult to tell you what to look for , very much depends on your preference.

anyone knows the references of marble on what is the highest grade (eg. country etc) to the cost estimates, the marble from china keep coming up in some of the folks i asked. And also, have been even offered marbles from greece.

i had some time on my hand and manage to google and found a site that has quite a few pic of marbles that can help you maybe shortlist on what you want to see physically when you go down to the shop.

How can you tell the origin of the marble being offered and not be sucker with an alternative form a cheaper country. eg. Greece or italian marble substituted by china ones. Any experience?
