Partition Wall

Recommended Posts

The grey area is the intended area for partition.

It's about 13 feet in length.

Roughly, what kind of partition is cheapest and is able to hold a door.

hi daa,

If i am not wrong, you already hack the wall and trying to seal up with a partition with a door.

Need to check with HDB to see you can go that with juz a partition.

Assume you already gotten the approval, the partition can be made from compressed wood, cheaper. For a 3 ft, it cost about $400 ~ $500, depends on the thickness.

Nono, this is a Corner 3room flat..

You mean the wall will cost $400-$500 or every 3 feet it cost $400-$500?

Application from HDB will be done by contractor right?

hmm 13ft is about 3.9m, are you sure the distance is that much???

usually partition is made of particle board

but in order to hold up the door, don't think particle board can make it

to withstand the daily opening and closing of doors, a concrete wall is the best choice

like what vowsh mentioned, particle board 3ft is around $400-500

as for concrete wall, i'm not too sure coz prices have shot up since i've done renovation

but should be slightly more expensive than particle board i.e. around $600 - 700 for 3ft :sport-smiley-004:

guess particle board is same as gymson board? if it is, it can withstand and hold door if its construct properly. can get the guy to put in solid timber inside the board so you can drill the hinges for the door.

there is different materials inside the gymston board, can even mount air con vent on the wall :sport-smiley-004:
