titansim 0 Report post Posted December 17, 2007 Did anybody bought export set electrical appliances from Mustafa. I was offered $375 for Pioneer HTS 565 (export set), which is selling at $645 at Harvey Norman. The only difference I was told is that it doesn't come with the 1 year warranty. The set itself is exactly the same as the normal set that come with warranty. Trying to save money after the renovations
zirhk3355 1 Report post Posted December 17, 2007 Well for export set, or parallel imports or 'water goods', every purchase is a 50/50 risk lor, cannot compare. Even if its like out of 50 sets only 1 spoilt, how do you know you are not the one??For me, I would buy it if its not a necessity; ie if it really spoils then bo pian, just do without it lor. But won't risk such things with essential appliances like washer/dryer/fridge, etc. Home theatre still ok...Just make sure the package is not tampered with, some parts replaced or refurbished set.On the other hand, even buy from HN, courts, etc those big big stores with warranty, also got risk. Never spoil never mind, but spoil already, this one not covered that one not covered, end up still got to pay for repair.Like my dad always tease the salesman, is it warranty until spoil? Once spoilt then no more warranty already?
