Apple, Beng Tuan got this hand armchair right? But hubby don't like this kinda model which is also available at other shops. He say the seat area is not comfy. :jawdrop: Is beng tuan's armchair also hard at the seat area?

yes they've got it but i didn't try it out coz i find that it's a 'selfish' chair

can only seat one person

i like chairs that can squeeze two person, or at least one person and one cat :) :)

maybe you can go down and take a look

although the salesperson a bit like vultures, swop in immediately when you enter the shop

but after you tell them you just want to browse around alone, they'll let you be !!

didn't notice the price when i was there either, so not sure if the $39 is for child or adult

but i can say some of the things there really cheap, and the salesman told me they manufacture to sell to others as well

though i have no way of knowing if it's true or he is bluffing !! :)

We wouldn't know about this manufacturing bit. But one thing is for sure. If they manufacture to sell to others, then this co should be a big co by then instead of a small furn co considering singapore is very very small leh. Imagine the moolah going into their pockets from the orders required. :D Though I wouldn't mind having more of that moolah coming into my pocket best. !!

Err... how to identify if it's chipboard/fibreboard? Softer and hollower sounding when u knock on it?

Saw 2 vhive mbr cabinets juz nw. Nice nice also. :) @ 899. But need to measure the height of my unit ah... else everything also cant plan. Luckily not in a hurry if i'm getting at shops instead of contractor doing it... at least have the time frame... :)

coz most of ikea's wardrobe are chipboard / fibreboard

when you go ikea just remember to look behind the price tag, they list down the material very clearly

Hmm... Due to layout of mbr, we initially wanted to maximise storage by doing a l-shape wardrobe. 6 ft by 5 ft. But we wanted to have sliding doors. Patrick said if l-shape, the 5 ft part is not advisable to do sliding (means whole of 11 ft doing casement type) as the sliding mechanism will be kinda flimsy since its a shorter panel.

Now gotta decide wanna still do 11 ft in casement or die die do it in sliding doors or do 6 ft 1st and buy additional storage aka furniture shops. !! *dilemma*

Saw somewhere in RT tt there's the ft convert to metre dimensions. Anyone know off hand what is it? :D

to be exact 1ft is 30.48cm, but usually carpenters will use 30cm as 1ft :help:

i went to the beng tuan at jean yip building, 50 kaki bukit place

you can see the flr no. once you enter the buidling

the salesman who served me was named alvan, very friendly guy who followed up with some mistakes with my bedframe

Hmm, if not enough, you might want to consider doing full height one. Mine is not full height but about 6.4 ft width & almost 7ft in height if i remember right. 'Cos I used the measuring tape. Usually measuring tape has both ft and m/cm thing on it. :help:

For L-Shape wardrobe, if you want to do in sliding doors, then i can give you a small suggestion. Don't know if it will be feasible. Maybe you might want to do sliding doors till the corner point of the wardrobe where the rest of the wardrobe will be in casement type doors. I think I saw a similar one somewhere but cannot remember where I saw it before.
