NiVleK 0 Report post Posted March 30, 2008 AirCon UpdateWent to Hong Tar after reading that this shop is not bad in terms of service and workmanship.Immediately placed deposit after confirming the following.Mitsubishi Starmex Easy Clean Non invertor R410a- System 3- Gauge 23 copper tubing- Thermaflex 1/2" insulation (Class 0)- 16mm drain piping throughout (insulated at some points)- 2 visits- $2200 w/GSTThe lady that serviced us was a nice pregnant lady. Now waiting for the date that our ID will let us know to run the piping for the aircon. Overall, I think the price is a little more expensive than AllBest & Best Tech, though i do not know how much will be the cost if I upgrade my insulation to 1/2" instead of 3/8". Planning....TV- Panny 50PY700, now consider 42PY700 cos got comments that 50 is too big for me. My viewing distance is about 3m max. But I think its ok leh. Talk about resolution issues based on THX standards, its the optimal distance for 1080p!Speakers - Onkyo 605 + Wharfedale Diamond 9 HCP. Wanted to upgrade front speakers but after measure here and there...no place...so just make do with the standard Diamond 9 HCP set.Cool pics! Ur foyer is unique shape? Looks very spacious.... Bro, space constraint leh..... anyhow, speakers mainly used for gaming (Xbox360, PS3, Wii) and Blu0ray + DVD sessions. So I figured the Diamond 9 HCP will do, actually upgrading the front speakers to the bigger bro, Diamond 9.1 but too huge liaos and I dun want to extend my cabinet more.
