softballer 0 Report post Posted January 26, 2008 As for the running of wires, I did drill two rectangular holes in the wall and place a 75x25 alum. hollow section in it. The uneven gap is then fill up and painted over. One of the picture in my blog show the two small opening in the wall. which pic would u be prefering to?possible to post it here.. similarly not planning to have feature wall due to budget.. thinking of how to place the tv.. on wall or on tv console.. *headache*
Max383 1 Report post Posted January 27, 2008 U can try to install a partition wall that sticks out about 4inch from your wall.... full height, six feet wide. You can use paint or wall paper finish depending on your budget. Using paint finishing.. it will cost u under $400 and it is strong enough (steel reinforced) that you can mount your flat screen TV on this partition wall....wires run behind and come out at the bottom to connect to any 6ft TV console. Seen this done...can look quite tasteful.which pic would u be prefering to?possible to post it here.. similarly not planning to have feature wall due to budget.. thinking of how to place the tv.. on wall or on tv console.. *headache*

crrabb 0 Report post Posted January 28, 2008 My suspended TV console has a small block underneath it at the center. No problem with support, cos we had 3 grown-up guys standing on top of the console for testing (the contractor asked us to try, else we wouldn't dare to)
