Mr Chong 0 Report post Posted January 12, 2008 Hello Mr Chong,Pls advise on my floor Plan.Thank you for the time HelloPut some plants on the right side outside of your main door. (You stand facing out)Seal up or create a sliding panel or put up display caninet to cover up the windows of the aircon ledge opposite your main door.At the corners of the end of the wall separating rm 1 and 2, put fountains or small fish tank (not preferred). Use these 2 rooms more often.Seal or block up the windows of your Mbr. Otherwise put thick curtains. Avoid sleeping mbr during 10 and 11 of chinese month (spouse/ladies will develop womb problems). No red or black or minimise.Cook more often. When you make money, do some charity.

(other option - laminate or tinted glass)Btw, my dinner table (rect) can only placed at this area.Is it alright too?For the MBR window, I can only use curtains as suggested. But during non-sleeping times, it is okay to draw the curtain to keep the RM airy or bright? Is your comment of "No Red or Black or minimise" addressed to the MBR only or the whole unit?Colour used in my MBR is mainly Dark Brown, Light Brown and Beige. But I do use Black color in my living rm beocs the color theme is mainly White, Gray, BlackWhereas Colour Theme in BR1 is Light Blue and Colour Theme in BR2: Dull Pink.My 14 mnth son will be staying in BR1, and the bed will be placed facing East (opps as to my previous drawing). Any serious implications?Btw, my unit is actually at the 14th Flr.
Mr Chong 0 Report post Posted January 16, 2008 HelloFor the Aircon Ledge Window, a feature wall will be used to cover it up.Is it alright to use a tinted mirror? (other option - laminate or tinted glass)Yes, you can use tinted mirror but not too darkly tinted like those blacken ones. Maybe something like those light bronze. Even bettter if your design don't reflect much of the exterior of your main door. (Your neighbors' door, isn't it?)Btw, my dinner table (rect) can only placed at this area.Is it alright too?Yes, its alright. For the MBR window, I can only use curtains as suggested. But during non-sleeping times, it is okay to draw the curtain to keep the RM airy or bright? Its ok but be sure not to stay inside too long.Is your comment of "No Red or Black or minimise" addressed to the MBR only or the whole unit?Colour used in my MBR is mainly Dark Brown, Light Brown and Beige. For the MBR only. Hopefully you have more beige than dark brown. But I do use Black color in my living rm beocs the color theme is mainly White, Gray, BlackWhereas Colour Theme in BR1 is Light Blue and Colour Theme in BR2: Dull Pink.Go ahead as long as you feel comfortable. My 14 mnth son will be staying in BR1, and the bed will be placed facing East (opps as to my previous drawing). Any serious implications? The alteration you did to rm1 was necessary? Not good. Keep your son away from the doorway. Since its too cramp to head facing the blue line, the next better option is the headset face the wall in the diection of the corridor or in the direction of the window. If you decide to place in the direction of the window, use blinds to block out the window when sleeping. Don't use curtains for children.Or put your kid in the next rm. Hence I like to keep BR2 as a study room or guest room for the time being. And thanks for your time and advises so far.It has being enlighting for me. Mr Chong 0 Report post Posted January 17, 2008 HelloAs I could not fully interpret what you mean above, I have drawn out all the possible layout (below) I can have in BR1.Can advise which are the prefered ones?Layout 2 and 3.Br2 is a special case. It is alright as long as the bed is not in line with the door. Anyway, you decide comfortably. There are enough options.

Mr Chong 0 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 (edited) Hi Mr Chong,Thank you for your adviseWe have decide to put our son at BR2. HelloSince you've decided, then these are the things you got to take note:1) Always keep the toilet door close. Try not yo use that toilet in the 7 & 8 chinese month. 2) The bed headset should be either against the window wall or the wall shaded. (which direction better depends on his DOB)3) Place his study table or playground also along the shaded wall.4) During the chinese 7 & 8 months, your kid will be susceptible to cough due to heatiness. Place 8 pebbles outside his door. (haha....also must drink more water lah)5) When your kid turns argumentative, don't clash with him. Get the Father to tame him.6) design and place a small cabinet or shelf or display a short distance after the doorway in the room.
