Would like to know how long will a renovation take for a resale flat?

1. Major renovation like revamping the whole house?

2. Minor renovation like without the rehacking and laying new tiles for floor?

I mean an average period.

answering this question now - quite tough cos CNY round the corner + market booming time for reno.

usual = 6 weeks (but actual fact - give them 2 months)

minor works = depends on how minor...

the reputated ones mostly like already stop taking jobs. - my contractor already stopped.

trying to find a good contractor to take your job also seems to be a problem - let alone to complete before CNY. Contact as many ID/contractors as possible.

that's right ..

mine even rejected a deal of $45k coz the owner wanted the house to be done up b4 CNY.

Now is the best to take your time to compare the designs and quotations.

Since you still not sure what to do ..

My place alone took 6 weeks to complete due to the off days during the weekends and all the

holidays.

Haha..my first HDB appointment date also haven received.

Buying over my MIL flat.

Just checking on the average time for a renovation to take place.

Mine is currently stretched to 3 months already and is still in the mist of doing ..........

I am new here.I am grateful that I have a good contractor who is reliable,i did my house for abt 10k with hacking and kitchen cabinets etc. most impt the workmanship is very good. my first appointment is only in mid feb as im going for a holiday during cny for 10 days.. sway

but the owner will be moving out before chinese new year

i hope to get the keys before cny so we can start reno

but i also know we shd sign undertaking..
