Sweet Sweet Home

Anyway, if you have the extra budget, why not?

For me, ceiling fan will do.

If on the air con, seeing the meter running will also make my heart pumping faster!

Yup, hehe,

But actually have tight budget..

Just that for us, the aircon is more like necessary rather than just a want 8|

I was at JM at 1am plus. The weather is really great. Air-con would not be required unless it is summer time. How I wish Singapore has the same weather as Genting Highland, then we would save a couple of thousands on other stuffs.

I will be doing Tall cabinet, oven slot in between of the tall cabinet, and above the oven will have an empty shelve (future space for steam oven, or can put existing Microwave).

I was told that for the oven, there will be a small space (horizontal space with a height of I think 2inch) for the heat/air circulation. The tall cabinet is next to my fridge.

Not sure how well the cabinet can withstand, but I believe it should be fine. (First time for me to do built-in oven as well).

Hi Gadgetgal,

I believe that the more space you have the better air circulation there is for the heat.

If there is not enough gap, hot air will not be able to escape from the equipment and will also result the equipment will spoilting faster. Can you open a small gap at the side of cabinet to allow air circulation.

Remark :

I used to work in cooler/fans company that can be installed in almost everything. This is the logic that I learn when I was with the company.

Thanks Cindy for the tips...

In that case, I will check if I can put some more holes at the back (by the left side). :sport-smiley-004:

Okay.. okay.. me here! Noted...:drunk:

Most probably I will delay that purchase... wish to keep more reserve in my piggy bank :notti:

All these reno works.. really dry out piggy bank..! :drunk:

Haiizz.. but again, my renovator want me to decide where is the lighting point for dining room, for that we need to know the measurement of the table and drill on the ceiling accordingly. Sigh... :sport-smiley-004::sport-smiley-004:

Do let me know or post a picture once you've got that, k?. so far, I've seen those marble looks pretty fake.. can't even feel the cool effect of the stone!. :~

Paging for Binzz...

I saw a nice cooling effect marble table in... Balestier plaza (if not mistaken, or is it Shaw plaza?) Didn't notice what plaza, but it's opposite Extreme Lighting.

4ft table with 4 chairs - $1088

4.5ft table with 4 chairs - $1288

extra chairs, each @$90.

Haven't asked for discount, as we intend to purchase furnitures/appliances only when our non-movable accessories are fully installed, and ready for move in. Btw, after measuring the space for dining area, we may want to opt out lazie suzie (table size require 4.5ft diameter), cause it may make our dining area small.

ps: they may not have the stock, and may need around 4-6 weeks (or probably 8 weeks). They also have oval marble table (5ft long, and 2.5ft wide, 6 chairs - didn't ask how much as the lady took so long to check the round table)

pps: tried visiting carrefour last thursday/PH, but couldn't locate the marble tables, only glass table with Lazy suzie.
