Nipponho 0 Report post Posted December 11, 2007 Hi Dragon,I think Jan is a bad time to source for renovation contractor. Everyone wants to rush to complete the job before chinese new year, u risk compromising on quality of work. Might as well wait for a few more weeks and start after chinese new year. Seanster 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 First thumb of the rules : dont be impulsive .Have a theme in mind with budget concern that is .Do a research on renotalk and singaporebrides for good id or contractors. If you are like me using hard cash to buy items and stuff, stick with the first sentence . Cheers!
dragon1970 0 Report post Posted December 12, 2007 Hi all,Thanks for the advice. But I a bit "kiasu" and had already engaged a contractor even before going for my 1st appointment. Going to start the reno in January : all wet work will finish before CNY but all carpentary work will have to resume after CNY. Timed as such so that I can move my barang barang over to the common first and meanwhile staying with my mom till the full reno is completed. But till now, the contractor and myself have not sit down to have a detailed discussion on the design yet.My only headache is the kitchen as I wanted too many things in that too little space... so needed some advice / ideas from those who are staying in 3 room flats and have a open concept kichen.Anyone mind sharing pictures of their kitchen? Thanks.PS : my living room, dining room and kitchen are all in a straight row. Still trying to figure out how to post a image so that i can post my floor plan.
