Are you referring to the ones above the counter top? The standard width of these wall hung cabinets have 300mm depths. Whereas those on the floor have standard 600mm depths. And the reason being that when you are working on the counter top, you will not bang your head on the wall hung cabinets.

Or maybe you are referring to something else completely different????

Hi accgoh !!

Well, it also depends on whether you'll be using LPG cylinder gas or CityGas, as suspended cabs can't really take the weight of a 14-kg LPG cylinder, unless you intend to use piped CityGas.

Yes, it's the IN thing to have suspended bottom cabs, so do kitchen islands now.

And you'll need to consider other factors such as:

- total storage space required in the kitchen and kitchen's layout & size

- living/cooking lifestyles (cook & entertain, weekly cooking, daily cooking), habits and lifestage (single, just married, married with kids, multi-generation or empty nesters)

- any built-in appliances such as wine chiller, ovens, dishwasher, etc.

You could also consider the The Kitchen Wish List, to help you to organise your thoughts and ideas abt your dream kitchen.
