Any Comments On Haier Living, I-bridge And Barang Barang Interiors?

Hi hi,

I'm currently sourcing for IDs for my new HDB flat.... have met up with a few IDs and have shortlisted 3 IDs based on our 1st appointment with the designers.

1) Haier Living

2) I-Bridge

3) Barang Barang Interiors

Anyone have engaged any of them before? Just wanna know how are their workmanship quality....

Need someone to advice me. Thanks

I would go for Haier Living. Their design appeal to me more than the rest that you mentioned.

How are their workmanship like?

heard haier living quotation will be quite high. dun wan to sign up with them for their design then get poor workmanship in the end...

We started off with Haier Living. Well, like the way they present their service. Their image is leaning more towards "ang mor pai" and you'll often see ang more checking out their shop at Amoy street.

Most IDs dress like a fashion designer, look "stylo"and they speak well. Going to their shop is fun as they have many decorative items and they will show what are the suitable items that will go with your concept.

Service is not bad and we are surprise that the ID actually hand drawn the perspective for our viewing even on our first visit. I have to be fair, it is very nice of them.

We thought we can proceed with them but gave them up as the quotation turned out to be S$12K above our budget.

We engaged another ID in the end (without paying the extra S$12K that we are suppose to pay Haier living if we engage them) and got similar concept, carpentry, flooring for LVR, kitchen, Toilets etc.

If you have a good budget to spend on your house. Can consider Haier if not check out other IDs that can help you save more.

Haier Living is definitely on the high side, but I think they have package deals which includes furniture and lights. Can check out their website for details.

how much were you quoted by Haier living? is yours a 4rm or 5rm? does it includes bedframe, wardrobes and kitchen cabinets?

Mine's a 4rm. They quoted us $42K (LVR flooring, toilet tile work, all Bedroom floor lamination, kitchen cabinet with island design, TV feature wall, sattee, wet work, ceiling - No wardrobe and bed frame)

Hi

I strongly advice based on a bad personal experience is to SKIP, give it A MISS, DO NOT engage Haier or any of their sub-designers.

At the first meeting, their sales pitch is very good, tell you that they can do this, can do that, the sales very good. But after you sign, you will regret.

They have inexperienced designers who do not think through properly the practicality of their design. Wasted a lot of our time going down for meetings.

Once the design is finally settled, they take payment then during construction, they have VERY VERY BAD project management. Unless you are very free and can always monitor them and check their work against their design.

If they cannot resolve the problem, they keep silent for a few days then you have to chase for reply. When they finally reply, it is not a good solution. if they cannot find solution, they will tell you they stop work. which leave you stranded because your house not completed.
