Hi Snow,

Luckily u got chance to talk to their Big Boss and get compensation.

We also went to their showroom near IMM cos of their heavy advertisement, but were put off by their all uncle sales talk.

it's becasue they made a very serious mistake, that's why the boss got to come out and talk to me.

normally the boss dun care about all this. he'll leave it to his so call e care manager

I told all my friends and any one that i have known not to try out this CH** Interiors...

Last mth after getting out keys to our love nest, we decided to pay Ch** Interiors a visit after their consistent advertising. And that was something that i regret the most throughout the ID sourcing exercise.

We walk to the showroom(Changi) entrance, and we were not even acknowledge, until i have to ASK!

And a lao uncle walk slowly and first thing he says is....

Lao Uncle: "Yes" (smugly)

Me: We want to renovate our place.

Lao Uncle: "Over here"

*He just point to a direction without leading us, then we just walk towards the direction that he is pointing...which happens to be a toilet showroom! After that we just stand there and wait.

Lao Uncle: "Sit"

Then me and my wife, at this point of time abit TL already, then just sit opp him on a bench.

Lao Uncle: "You bring floorplan???"

Me: "Yes"

Then i just pass him the floorplan.

HE start to look at the floor plan and seem like in a world of his own, then i tot that maybe he is thinking on how to design my place. It was so unexpectedly....he said:

Lao Uncle: "So what you want?"

For a moment, i was stunt... really stunt... then i keep quiet...

My Wife: "We want to renovate the place, can you give us some idea?"

Lao Uncle: "What you need?"

My Wife: "We want to renovate our living area...."

Lao Uncle: "Then?" (irritably)

My Wife: "And also master bedroom ...........

Lao Uncle: "Then?" (irritably)

My Wife: "and redo the kitchen & 2 toilets."

Lao Uncle: "LIke Tat?" (Sarcastically)

*** @ this point, i was really TL liao... very very TL, what did i do to deserve this kind of attitude.

I took my floor plan and hold my wife and we walk out of the **** place without looking back ever since ***

I STRONGLY suggest NEVER to use CHew interior for any reno, be it big budget or not. Their service is really too poor for such an established company. All their staff are just interested in getting quotes out. And handwritten quotes??!?! Crap. Most interesting thing is that they will sure ask your budget and give u something above that budget.

it's the 3rd time i'm doing renovation and it's the worse also! !!

in the end i got so fed up and fired them!

my friend's sister's house was done up by Chew Int. I went to take a look, design so so, nothing fantastic even though they spent a lot of money.. anyway my personal experience with their staff in Jurong was not a good one. he doesnt know what I'm talking abt, can't even design. anyway, all the "Sales Designers" all look very uncle.

Well done AshRinz. Such companies have forgotten why they should be in such business n they should be taught such a lesson. Their aim in this industry is to make homes as beautiful as possible for their customers within the given budget. I guess this underlying principle has been lost as the company grows too big n commercialised.

dun ever go to chew interior, you will regret it!

they keep pressurizing you and won't be interested if your contract is small. they give false promises to make you sign the contract. after signing, they dun honour their promises and fail to deliver what are suppose to do.

look out for the small little clause below the contract! once you sign it and if you break your contract, you are liable for 20% penalty of the total cost of contract even thou work not yet even started! even worse is after you sign the contract, they'll ask you to pay 2k as deposit! Before signing, they didn't even mention anything about the deposit at all, arhhhhhhhh

their workmanship suck! such a big company and you thought everything should be good but in fact it's the opposite! designs wise also so so, can't come up with great designs. mostly it was copied from other ID

believe me dun ever go to chew interior! you'll definitely regret it as i'm one of the victim. it's a completely nightmare to me and casued me tonnes of headaches

dun wan others to follow in my footstep. i'm not bluffing and choose a contractor thru friends recommendation is much better. at least thru friends you know how's their workmanship, service and altitude.

it's a total nightmare to me and i dun wan to think about it already. hope bros and sis here check and think throughly before you made or sign any contract.

I did go there and the quote is handwritten, worst still, doctor's handwritting. Very poor and as if he's in the hurry to go home!

To inprove, they should computerise. Have a laptop and punch in the item and the cost and print out for the customers.

But handwriten kind of put me off.

In the end, I took the handwritten quotation home and file it without even take a second look at their quotation.

Based on actual events.

One day at C**w Interior Showroom:

My Sister: " Hi, good morning.

C**w ID:" Yes?!"

My Sister: " I'm looking for an ID for my new flat"

C**w ID: " Whats your budget?"

My Sister: " Around $30K-$35K plus minus. 4 Room flat.

C**w ID: " Wah! Sure or not? Budget so low? I think you better go look for other ID. We don't have anything for your kind of budget."

Nbz......this type of reply also can give.

My sister swore off C**w Interior after that.

The next day, I went over to C**w Interior looking for the same a55hole that treated my sister with disrespect. Revenge!!! Walked around their showroom making snide remarks loudly and lookng for the person. As luck would have it, he approach me.

C**w ID: " Can I help you?"

Me: " No. No need. I can walk by myself."

The fella keep following me around. Then he approached me again.

C**w ID: " Maybe you would like to take a seat and we can discus your requirements?"

Me: " Ok. What can you give me?"

C**w ID: " What is your budget?"

Me: " My budget is around $60K-$80K. Actually budget is not much of a big issue to me. All I want is a nicely done house and I can stay comfortably for the rest of my life."

C**w ID: " How many room flat?"

Me: " 5 rooms only, Tampines."

Face my wife and told her I'm thirsty.

At this point I can see his face brimming with happiness. Thinking he's caught a big fish.

C**w ID: " Wait ah, I take a drink for you."

He passes the drink to me. I just keep quiet. Not a word of thanks.

C**w ID: " Did you bring your floor plan?"

Me: " Yes. Here."

After 1 hour of mumbo-jumbo asking for this and thats and making him do lots of work like drawing the actual design on my floor plan, taking out materials for me to see and making things difficult for him, I finally told him I'll consider.

His face changes. He then ask me to put a deposit to lock down on the price he gave and to qualify for a lucky draw. Told him that I need to seriously consider cause (i finally drop the bomb on him) that with the same requirements, another ID has only come up with a $45K budget. WHILE he quoted me almost to the max of my budget after discounts. Bull5hit!

I told my wife in front of him, this guy is out to chop us like carrot. And we walk out of the Shop. On the way out, I tear off the 'designs' which he drew on my floor plan and dump it into the dustbin outside the shop.

Feeling satisfied. haha....I never go to any C**w Interior again.

Honestly... don't waste your time with Chew Interior... they are expensive and hardly willing to customise to your needs. They almost have the same strategy as Courts.... lots of advertisement, lots of lucky draws. But guess who eventually pays for these things?

Been Chew Interior at Changi too , seems that they are more keen in selling their standard package than to my requirements . Can tell that they are not interested in customers with low budget.
