mango 0 Report post Posted November 13, 2007 Help!Wanted to do laminate flooring for all bedrooms, living and dining.The existing flooring in bedrooms are parquet n living room is terazzo.my contractor said CANNOT lay laminate over parquet so given two optionsoption 1) remove parquet in bedrooms and lay laminate but then there will be a drop from living to bedrooms, think it is ugly.option 2) touch up the parquet.any other suggestions? I suggest you have the existing flooring sanded and varnished to a matt finish and it should look great.Not sure how your terazzo flooring look but I've seen beautiful ones. Again, have it touched up and polished to a high shine and it should look fine. However, I understand that it is expensive to polish terazzo. Not sure how true this is.
