Yang Guo 7 Report post Posted January 21, 2008 Hey Yang Guo,sometimes old fashion thingy works better than new high-tech thingy. The old fashion thingy r there 4 a reason. So wher u got e set of metal rack dat r screwed 2 e underside of the floor slab (ur ceiling)? !! hi Jack, the metal rack can be purchased at most of the grocery shop..only available in black or silver colour..cost price $14-$15..but the rod is exp per rod $8.. bamboo is cheaper by many many timesprefer metal rod cos its all silver, blend into the ceiling, heheoh ya,the metal rod has a risk of rust? not sure abt it, but my friend's hse also using metal rod,so far no complain yet, the shop uncle who sold me the rods also said it will not rust. hope it will be fine

GrumpyBear 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2008 here is where i use the old fashion pole systemwanted to remove hdb retractable hanger because its occupying the whole wall at the washing machine area..hanger can hang on the ceiling, cabinet cant hang on ceiling, so prefer to use the wall to do cabinet instead. my 2cents worth, individual preference la Hi Yang Guo. Thanks for the pic. Think the traditional way of hanging clothes its still the best.. Silver is nice. My friend's HDB has the silver one as well. Thought it looks so much better than the red/blue/green/ bamboo stick.. orh bit...Its worth while spending the $$

prodigic 0 Report post Posted January 22, 2008 really?? hdb will want it back???Sell it to HDB? Why must u sell it back to them?Eh cannot be lah.. They got say meh they want it back? At the first place they should ask us if WE want it at. Cannot anyhow "force" us to accept the clothes hanger if dun wanna use it and keep it till we wanna sell the house. Same case lor if any of the owners hack the walls down to make the place bigger, later sell, must put back the wall? Sounds ridiculous rite?

Sounds ridiculous rite? i heard when selling the house.. we are suppose to reinstate the house to the original layout... but if your future buyer agree to your current hacked wall layout you can produce the PE cert or approval from hdb for the hacked wall then can le.. if nto really have to put back the wall...But for the clothes hanger i not too sure then..
