Find out where's your 文昌 or 文曲 place in your house. This can be done through your house FS or your kid's bazi. Then place the study table there. It is not as simple as indicated, in between there are still some other conditions to fulfil.

Wen Chang/ Wen Qu can be found by getting the year 天干 of the person or child. Then base on the formula, the direction of the stars will be derived. Eg Person born in 甲 year has Wen Chang at 巳 direction.

Put up the year of birth and I'll get for you the direction.

Wen Qu can be found by using a flying star chart. (Or birthdate)

Wen Chang and Wen Qu are quite different. It depends on what application you need.

Place your elder boy's study table in the north. Younger one in the east.

Placing the tables there do not give good results. The purpose is when they study, their comprehension will be much better. These 2 directions for your kids respectively are not meant for long hours of study. When they exhibit short breaks of learning, let them be. Just maintain the discipline of getting back to the table after each break.
