Lazboy Recliners

Recommended Posts

A few days ago, I visited the Harvey Norman megastore at Millenia Walk and tried out the Australian lazboy recliner collection.

The leather ones are very comfortable and support the spine pretty well.

However, the prices are stiff....S$2000+ per piece.

Has any forumer bought it and would like to comment?

Cheers.

Hi LouiseB,

My HB had used their recliner series before, and my BIL oso has 1 in his current place. And my BIL has been using it for about 4 yrs liao, no problems with the mechanism so far. I'd say tat they feel simply GOOD! None of those mass market products tat I've tried ever came close. 1 thing though is tat they really cost a small bomb..

I'm oso seriously considering getting one for my place now.

Hi yc_mw

Thanks alot for your reply. Yes, the lazboy feels really comfortable.

The best part is the lower spine support. And it is also a rocking chair!

Now it is on my BUY list but I want to check on Asenses's Chesterfield sofa b4 making the final decision.

If I don't like Asenses' chesterfield and decide on HN's Chesterfeld, gonna give one up.

Cuz cannot afford 2 bombs!

Cheers.

NO, it's the one at Harvey Norman.

Cost - $1900 to 2300. It reclines and rocks too. Made in the USA.

lazyboy is the swivel reclining chair? like the one we saw at cellini that cost around $950? we loved that chair! very comfortable...

I seriously find the Lazyboy recliners way over priced.. The other thing is the design seems quite Passe... For me I prefer sleek looking contemporary leather recliners, but I won't pay more than $1K for that. For $2K, I would rather get a massage chair - just my 2c...

a good friend of mine got a deal at lorenzo for a similar recliner for only 550. seems like it was a display set. no rocking movement but it feels otherwise just like a lazyboy. visit the lorenzo showrooms from time to time to see if they have more discounts like that. hear that after cny there may be a huge sale.

sharkey

It seems those priced around the sub 700 bucks range are using half leather or Synthetic leather. Genuine Leather price has gone up considerably over the last year due to shortage of supply - that's why HTL's share price is plummeting even way before the sub-prime issue... so beware of cheap leather products

I c. I c.

Thanks alot.

Still undecided abt the lazboy...........sometimes sianz but sometimes ethusiastic abt it.

It's the cost that is deterring me. The leather is soft genuine leather.
