How about the new Denon 1940 (which suppose to replace the very good Denon 1930 all in one DVD player). Not sure available locally or not.

I wa to know why is my TV have a line of shadow going up? Is it due of the starhub thing, cos we ask the man who install the bracket for us, he say we dont hv a starhub point something like that y... doesnt anyone have this problem? Btw, mine is a 42" samsung plasma TV. When we went to see at the shop it was ok, but dont kw why at hm the Tv like not sharp and sometime gt double images.

First check, try play DVD/VCD ... picture okay ? Yes

Then must be the signal.

I had this problem also last time. Normal TV point ( lines ) Starhub okay

But later upgrade to digital settop ( small type ) better picture now.

Initially thought, it was the fan interference that create this line.

When buying TV, always check the current TV channel ( normal/HD )

Normal channel not digital mah. Except Discovery, National geographic & CSI on CH5 (Full Digital)

Plasma ... not sure. But for LCD, we check dead & colour pixel . Some batch have problem.

Plasma also if on same channel for long time, the CH5 sign will appears blur.

Not the TV problem, but the technology. cos the system confused.

The CH 5 remains so long .... so the TV also blurr liao..

Also big TV must see from far ...very nice, when go near, what piang eh

Plasma should should very clear pic on SD too..

I believe your signal box have problem...did you try on another TV?

Also, for 42", if you stand or sit too near, the screen will look blurry too. And this is the limitation.

if DVD playback is ok, then confirm your signal box have issues...get your Electrician to check ?

i'm thinking of getting the hitachi 42" plasma... my living room is small, the distance from sofa to TV is only about 2m... is that considered too near???

2 m viewing distance, 37" screen suitable... but now where got 37" plasma one?? only got LCD for 37" size

and i think 37" LCD even more ex than 42" plasma
