Seriously, how long did you guys had to wait before getting a quotation ah??

1 ID I spoke to even told me I will get my quote in 3wks time! Wow!! I'm really stunned ... I know mkt is good lor and biz is **** good now.

But 3 wks to get a quote out??? Makes me wonder how long will reno take.

Did you clarify what does his 'quote' encompass? Some ID put the layout drawings as part of the quote, maybe they do a really impressive layout lor, so take longer...

i tink mine's more power hahah .. i waited like 2 months for him to be able to get back ...

but quotation was fast .. =) n till now im super duper satisfied .. hse gonna be completed soon

Actually I only asked for initial quotation...nothing too specific on desgin yet...not asking for perspectives or anything like that yet.

If the IDs schedule for reno workers is packed I can understand, naturally may have to wait maybe 2 mths before works can begin. coz now mkt boom mah.

But to type out quotation shd be pretty standard thingy and price difference only in materials used. Sales people spend so much time talking and trying to get the sale by convincing customers to put down "deposits", in that amt of time, I'm sure they can come up with more then 10 quotations.

You can choose NOT to believe him but do so after you have read all the horror stories in renotalk first.

I usually ask them to give me a deadline, when will they be able to revert. When time's up, I expect a call.

Some called to tell me it's ready! Come down anytime soon.

Some bothered to call up to tell me it will be slightly delayed.

Some ... don't bother, don't care, no sight, no sound.

Next, you shortlist the few who can be punctual with their promises.

actually quotation is easy for them but they jus wan to slow slow quote, its already like a habit for all ids.. but contractor usually can quote faster.. the fastest i get is within 1 day.. the slower doesn;t mean business gd but mean they hav confident to let you wait..

fast might be they are new or they want to have you asap..

the best judgement is both of you happy with them, no hidden cost.. price ok.. and make sure the start and end date are stated in contract.. so tat you don hav 1 or 2 mths no work done at your flat..

Yes, fast or slow, if the quotation make you happy, then it wil ok lah.
