lawry 3 Report post Posted October 17, 2007 The glass backing for kitchen is usually tempered glass, made to withstand the heat... I don't know if there are tempered mirrors, will crack if too hot..

nikedoit 0 Report post Posted November 4, 2007 The glass backing for kitchen is usually tempered glass, made to withstand the heat... I don't know if there are tempered mirrors, will crack if too hot..ya most kitchen backing are tempered glass, but there are some id or contractors use tempered glass only for the stove part, while the rest is normal glass to save cost or hav lower burgets. Mirrror are not adviseable to be use at kitchen backing. cos there are no tempered mirror in sg. even there is, its true it will tarnish faster & its very difficult to maintain a show room like mirror. there will be grease , fog n blur stain on it for u to clean. usually show flats r to impress buyers, not really practical to hav total design as in show flats. To me, simple n nice will be appreciated over yrs.
