Lighting Idea For Passageway

Red square box indicate location of the light.

The best solution i think is false ceiling + downlight BUT my ID told me the false ceiling costs about $400 which I do not want to spend.

Is hanging light/wall light feasible?

Without false ceiling, I always consider Track lighting.

But then realise.. track lighting wiring also require trunking to bring the existing wiring to the entry point of the track lighting. It does look ugly..

So.. the solution is there.. whether can accept the unsightliness or willing to spend $400.

I will go for the false ceiling, as chances are.. there are also aircon trunking there.

What do you mean by track lighting?

Is $400 for that type of area ( 2550 x 1200 )?
