applefreak 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 oh for me it's really insurance bahhave exercised them before for my panasonic tvif repair, think the price is the same as the EW for the whole 5yrsthat's 2yrs plus into the usage...think it'll depend on the item and reliability of the brandwith most production done in third-world countries, i won't be surprised that durability of products are practically non-existant pple who buy plasma tv lagi got to get EWcan you imagine to replace a 'outted' screen will cost as much as the tv itself

zeny 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 hehehe me got no money that's why got to make everything last as long as possible i also no money that is why 0% IPP is good actually is we got limited patience if the appliance required a few repairs, we rather throw and get new one than having to argue with the repairman / company and tolerate days without the appliances
applefreak 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 that's also one of the reason why we went to HNthe EW is actually a insurance undertaken by a third partyit's onsite so no trouble like bring down service centre or whatthey also provide substitute items e.g. my tv was out so they brought another 29" tv down before bringing my tv back to repair :P

GnM 0 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 hmm... looking at the responses, it is only good to buy the extended warranties if the repair cost exceeds the cost of the extended warranty rite?Ok... noted. I will take a closer look at it the next time I buy my electronics
applefreak 1 Report post Posted October 19, 2007 for me it's a definite yescoz i'd only buy EW for big ticket items e.g. tv, fridge, washer nia
