Not sure what is your defination of good for a vacuum cleaner. :bangwall:

For me, this one meets the requirement of being powerful, long retractable extension cord, large capacity bag and adjustable power levels.

You need to know if you want a conventional vacuum cleaner with bag or the bagless type. Or you can look those with a cyclonic action or water filtered types, or wet vacuum cleaner, etc....

hmm that's something i've not considered yet

the qualities you've mentioned sounds good enough for me

powerful being the most important attribute since i've got fine hair flying all over

will check it out :dunno:

Looking for good contractors? Click here for your request

Hi Light,

Noticed that for your toilets, the piece of glass that your exhaust is mounted on is actually a fixed piece of glass and not a top hung window. Is this sufficient for the common toilet? Does it dry the toilet effectively?

Another question, roughly how much did it cost for you to change the windows? I am seriously contemplating to change my windows... but so far, the quotes that I got is nothing less than$3K for a 5 room flat... !!

Hi Light,

This is one real powerful vacuum. We also got it. We got this bag vacuum cleaner because we experienced the hassle of not having a bag and the dust will start flying all over. Where you got it from and how much?

Haha! Thanks for looking. There is a very small kid in the neighbourhood that always mistakes him for a cat. Always tells his Mom," Ma! Look! Got cat!" :)

will check it out :notti:

Yes, as a pet owner, I know exactly what you mean. My dog sheds fur like there's no tomorrow. If I don't vacuum, I will soon have furballs all over the house.

The solution is to brush my dog's fur regularly to prevent the build up of the undercoat....this will only reduce the problem.

Next, keep his fur short...like a puppy.

Next, get a powerful vacuum cleaner with HEPA filter. :dancingqueen:

Hi s&s

We got it from NTUC Hub at $300+(sorry, cannot remember exactly how much).

Came with a free gift of a year's supply of bags(in addition to the one that is already included with the vacuum cleaner) as well as a free set of HEPA filters.

It will dry the toilet, just a matter of how long it takes....If I had to do it again, I would have gone for the eight inch fan instead of the six inch one....my wife thinks the six inch one looks cuter and uses less electricity. :~

As for the windows, I think the price is about there lah....of course, it will depend on the type of windows you want. Plain glass is cheapest. The type of window frame as well as the finishing also add to the cost. I had to pay extra for white powder coated finish. In all, I think my windows came up to about $3.1k.

Light, you take really awesome pictures.

Thanks! I was inspired to take photos of the vacuum cleaner because of how some parts of it looked like a car.

Anyway, what about your MBR toilet and the storage area next to the entrance. I find the MBR a tad too small for proper planning, how did you get round it? Pics to show?

Sorry, havn't gotten down to taking the pictures of the MBR toilet yet, but here is a picture of the storage area and the entrance.....as you can see, I am very imaginative with colours. ;)

Managed to get a some items from the recent Life Story sale. One was a white side table for the living room, another was a block of carved mango wood as a display stand/stool.

Over the last weekend, we bought a wall decal and painstakingly put it up.
