A Question About Lighting

hi,

i have a chandelier light which has 8 bulbs. i find it too hot when the light is switched on. is it ok to fix only 4 bulbs and leave the other 4 light holders without bulbs?

appreciate your advice on this.

just dont put your finger into the empty socket when switched on :P

btw, after you have remove the bulb, try to look for substitutes(energy savings if any) cos too hot also means a lot of electricity is wasted to generate HEAT instead of brightness.

i see. thanks!

in fact i have changed to energy saving bulbs but they really dont look very nice with chandelier coz the bulbs are not clear. do you know if there is any energy saving bulbs that have the clear look or bulbs that are smaller than 25w? currently the smallest watts that i can find is 25w.

yalor - energy saving bulbs looks ugly..

for incandescent bulbs - 25w is the smallest liao, but they really consume lots of electricity and generate lots of heat.

alternatively you might want to look for megaman bulbs although their bulb's quality are no good but they have lots of shapes.

I have a chandelier at home and mine is 6 bulbs...i find it hot too when i sat under the lighting....and mine is supposed to be energy savings bulb too....
