Aircon Trucking

Recommended Posts

I install a system 3 aircon in my resale flat and the thick aircon trucking can be seen in one of the bedroom. Just to check shld my ID box-up the unsightly trucking even if it is not mentioned in the contract/quotation we signed. Or I shld top up $$ to do the box-up?

Appreciate all advise.

Most ID will charge you for the box-up but some will do it FOC (if not too much work) if you have good relationship with the ID and that you quotation cost is a lot to justify it.

Please be aware that when box-up air-cond truncking that you have some access openning facility for any future access in case leaking or for maintenance.

Not sure where & how does your aircond trunking looks like now...perhaps if you can post some pics so that other will give more advices. I assume the air-cond trunking is at the top of the wall. Most people who do not box up will position the aircond trucking just below the air-cond blower/unit or below some beam and just painted over it so that it looks like part of aircond or the wall.

i would not recomend to box-up the trunking coz if any pipes leaking den would be troublesome... maybe u can try conseal with paint matching yr colour of the wall.. den buy some decal to decorate the trunking to make it look class...
