Concrete base, concrete top. Use the same homo tiles as the floor. It makes your kitchen

looks bigger. Also the spacing between tiles is quite small due to the square edge.

Wooden base, solid top, because the cost already included in the per foot run.

Premium top, after installation, swee swee. After you place the rice cooker,

water dispenser, microwave...etc not musch space left to show your masterpiece.

Also premium top will outrun the lifespan of your cabinet, and cause heart attack if ruin.

Better save it for your next upgrade of kitchen cabinet.

can 60x60cm homo tiles be used as kitchen work top?? how abt 80x80cm homo tiles?? cos usually heard only ceramic tiles (30x30cm) used as worktop...

i heard that there's a type of non-porous non-stain homo tiles... seems like this type will be a good choice as a worktop material...

i had a long kitchne so the solid surface will not be able to cover so far and even then it will have to joined which i think is kinda ugly.

for the sink and stove area, i actually ask the contractor to erect a cement structure top and use homoG tiles think is 300x300 for tiling it up. For the top area that is away from the stove and sink(wet area) where we put the cups, kettle, microwave blah blah...we use postform. For me it works very well.

i heard from contractor this way of doing is more old fashioned but very lasting as the sink and stove both on very solid structure. Also cost less.

Don't think there is one that is size 80X60, perhaps 40X40 maybe.

I don't know much about the latest tiles.

Perhaps you may wanna check with bullet. I think he knows this area.

I choose dark colour shiny tiles with black grouting.

Kitchen looks good so long they are neat with good colour theme.

Thus, it is important that what goes with your kitchen cabinet

that stands out from the rest. Eg, if you opt stainless steel, then stick to it.

Otherwise, you will see char par lang deco.

Good example is those in the showroom display. nicely coordinated.

hi all how does yr ID give some form of "certification" that the granite is from India or China? does China granite really inferior and cheaper? When they me show samples there is no brand or country of origin stated there. only the acrylic surface samples glued on a nicely printed manufacturer's catalgue.. how do consumers verify?

Dun spend too much on the kitchen cos in time to come, either the design old-fashioned or something will spolit. Save some $$ and go holiday better.

guess it's a matter of personal preference

some like to spend money on feature walls and the rest on kitchens

Got a friend, hate cooking, but kitchen see peh solid man ....

Always eat out. Kitchen showroom only.

Why spend so much ? cos woman got more say in kitchen area mah.

Also, that is the only time man show their kindness.

hmm, if countertop use tiles then got to worry about the grout lines bah

granite got one joint line already not so nice liao

if use tiles means every 2ft got one line, lagi not swee liao

and tiles will scratch quite easily too

yes warrior, my furries already explore the kitchen countertop liao

just hope they dun sleep in the sink
