Lockset In The Main Door

Hi,

i would like to retain my exsiting solid timber main door of a HDB 4 room flat but would like to change the lockset. Where can i buy one and is it easy to remove the old and install the new lockset? Any advice? Any shops selling cheap and reasonable lockset for main door or can i just engage a locksmith to do the above?

you can call up those those locksmiths(stickers all over letterboxes).

$35-$55 to change one door knob...call them to check for your main door.

Not sure how it looks like from the outside; is there a panel over the doorknob and the lock? If not, then you can easily replace the lock with any locksmith.

In fact you can just change the lockset. If budget allows then can go for Duro, $228 for letterbox, lockset and one padlock, all using one key. This is available at all homefix shops and diy shops too, I think...
