Although, I have not spoken to mike yet, but he is very fast in responding in quotations. I requested twice for quotation, he did it within a day.

His quotations very detail. I use that as a guideline for me to look for other IDs/contractors.

Pricing wise I found it ok so far.. although slightly higher than my budget for around 1k (I am not doing major reno).

Any idea if will he have any hidden charges?

I wonder should i shortlist him, because his office is very far from my living area, which is in west side.

hi mint, yur qoute seems gd. did u ask about whether they are givin u solid top for te cabinates? when they fix the sink for u, make sure that it is properly fix, otherwise, in future, water will leak or sip into the cabinates, then te whole thing u need to change liao.

make sure that they list down all te things (item by item, cost) in black n white. i hab heard many that they giv a a rough qoute then later on ask for more money frm u

my experience wif shawn so far: he live up to his name as the web members had wrote. quite friendly and promise to deliver quotes within timelines. his firm is currently top in our shortlist (seems only too).

my house was renovated by baroque recently , but using diff ID .

my comments are , in terms of service , still acceptable , i will give them 7 out of 10 .

For workmanship wise , I would say not really good . will give them 5 out of 10 .

The project not finished on time , 3 weeks delayed from the job schedule, and somemore I have to keep chasing them to finished the things .

For the design ideas , I would say nothing outstanding . I think It may be due to the price that we pay for .

so overall I have abit dissapointed with the renovation.

and if u dont like the design that they draw... can always ask them to hv a new design to be draw out ba....

not very sure abt u lar... for me... i told my ID wat i want and show him the pics as well... from there he will roughly know wat i want lor... then of course he will change abit here and there also lor...

like the shoes cabinet at 1st i nvr thought of supend one... and i alway want a full height one.. same price and can put more shoes / things lor... but the design come out to be a suspend one... then i see liao... hmm... not bad wor... why i didnt think of that... look nice to me lor... and with a settee cum a lit drawer at the settee below to put the socks...

hmm btw who is the designer who draw for u... and if u dont like the design they draw why dont u told them u dont like it at all and ask for a better one... for me i keep changing my mine also... hmm... bec when u haven start reno... ur mind will keep changing and changing with new idea come out lor...
