So far has short listed the following brands:- Panasonic (attracted by it's ION function which purifies the air)- Mit (non inverter)- CarrierHope to get some views from fellow forumers on the pro and cons of each. leen 2 Report post Posted September 8, 2007 hi, this is what i found out... toshiba aircon unit - fcu / indoor unit: from thailand- outdoor unit: from japanthe rest of the other brands- indoor & outdoor unit: from thailand, chinamany aircon installers and shops tell me that the best performing aircon in term of quality, durability, pricing and ability to perform is toshiba and mitsubishi. leen 2 Report post Posted September 10, 2007 the installers must hv integrity and not cut corners when installing. to avoid future leaking problm, owner must be around when they install the piping and most imptly, be there to witness the whole process of pressurization.
