One more thing, the contractor will have it laminated it up so that the conrete support will not be seem.Is that so?
octoberfest 0 Report post Posted September 11, 2007 wow! so ex to build the concrete support! Yes, my mum had her sink and gas hob areas done with hollow block and tile supports as these 2 areas are very prone to wear & tear from her heavy duty cooking & washing which normal wooden cabinets cannot withstand. They are more costly but it was deemed more appropriate.Picture of hollow block with tiles done up & sink and dustbin installed:Aluminium sliding doors below :Gas Hob hollow block & tile :Gas Hob installed , wooden doors below:Gas & Sink Supports:

One more thing, the contractor will have it laminated it up so that the conrete support will not be seem.Is that so?not just the legs, you can see from the pix that it is basically a structure to hold the sink upthe price excludes the countertop thoughif you dun want to pay extra for the countertop can opt for tiled surface as wellit's tiled coz laminate also cannot tahan water Edited September 11, 2007 by applefreak

Once again, thanks!!So means the sink and stove will have concrete 'leg'.But it is ok lah.The rest of the cabinet will be laminated with abs trimming.Hey, I thought of having the 'metal' laminated but it cost more..... applefreak 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 erm, my contractor is very nicehe charged me $60 for each drawers, regardless of size, for the runners onlyi.e. only the sliding mechanism are blumotion but the drawers are constructed by him :notti:
redbottle 0 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 erm, my contractor is very nicehe charged me $60 for each drawers, regardless of size, for the runners onlyi.e. only the sliding mechanism are blumotion but the drawers are constructed by him oh, i din know can just buy runners only... clever idea! izzit stated in the runner specifications the max load each drawer can take?? cos blum seems to have drawers with different max load ratings e.g. 30 kg/drawer or 50kg drawer.... applefreak 1 Report post Posted September 14, 2007 hehehe, that was suggested by my carpenter and contractorthey know i got very small budget so think of ways and means to help me cut cost :furious:think the max load would refer more to the base of the drawers rather than the runners bah anyway dun think i will put things with combined weight of 30kg inside a drawerthese things would go into the store room loh
