nimmy 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Thanks a lot for the replyActually we never appointed an agent. The seller's agent was helping us to negotiate and do the paper work. And our 1st appointment is coming in September. We got the invoice already from the realtor company for paying the agent fee.But we were under the impression that fee needs to be paid at 2nd appointment. We are a bit worried as how to pay before the transactions are complete

nimmy 0 Report post Posted August 31, 2007 Thanks.Well said.Even we were thinking of the same possibility. We contacted the agent. But he said that we have to pay the agent fee on the payment date mentioned in the invoice. That is 1st appointment. He said its the companys policy and formality. We told him that as buyers we are not happy to pay money initially when many formalities like inspections are not complete. He is telling us not to worry on such matters as he will be arranging everythg and will be with us till resale completion. We are not really convinced but it seems we may have to pay fee at 1st appointment.Anyways hope everythg goes well.
