Hi, this is my bathtub done by Absolook Interior Design. Didn’t know it would turn out like this as it happened when I gave birth and was in hospital subsequently on confinement. I would like some opinions on whether this is the norm? Or is is acceptable? Or is there any breach of safety standards? Coz I feel that the hot water pipes are too high and dangerous for my 3 kids, and that this is a landed property, surely an interior designer would not propose such dangerous idea?

Hello guys, I have a problem with the air and sewage pipe that runs up the middle of my bathroom area. My contractor has kindly boxed it up nicely, but it looks really big and disruptive to the space (like a structural column just popped up). My question is, can it be done any better? Is there a minimum thickness for the calcium silicate boards and metal framework used to box up the area? Suggestions and solutions much appreciated. (These pipes are terminated at the top with a false ceiling that covers all the "twists and turns", so what needs to be concealed from the bottom to the top is just a straight pipe.) Thank you :) Regards from a New Homeowner

Has anyone come across HDB flat with no washing machine drainage pipe and need to drain out the water through the floor trap in toilet? Wondering if any plumbing work could be done to resolve this issue. I viewed a resale flat and found this issue. Due to this issue, the washing machine has to be sited outside the toilet (in the kitchen) which is not ideal as it is hindering ppl from walking thru. Good if can have advice from folks here.

Does anyone know where I can buy ventilation tubes for kitchen hoods? I bought a bosch retractable slimline hood that has a 120mm ventilation outlet. However, I can't seem to find where to buy the tube that can connect to it :-( I read that rigid vent tubes are most ideal, but nobody seems to be selling it here in Singapore. I essentially need to go up ~1m, then 90 degree elbow, then another ~1m. I'm also open to using flexible tubes as a temporary solution. My kitchen is actually being renovated now and I'm missing this critical piece to vent out the fumes out of my kitchen properly :-( Greatly appreciate any tips/advice. Thanks!
