Hi all, Is it possible to tell from the attached video (See Link 1), what is wrong with in the electrical setup? This is a second hand flat. The false ceiling and cove light is very nice, but I don't know how to troubleshoot since everything is concealed. How much will a contractor charge to fix everything? Do I need to cut a hole in my false ceiling? ? Note that the tube lamp and the tube starter are all new (bought and tested at Chuan Huat) - but when I fix up at home, the light starts to flicker. Any advice please and kindly help! Thank you 1. VIDEO OF FLICKERING LAMP https://vimeo.com/user122342498/review/453216057/86a9dd06b9 2. FALSE CEILING WIRING 3. ELECTRICAL CONNECTION 4. Hi, Would it be possible to add/ move an electrical light source/ point from the center of a living room to multiple spots in the living room? Currently, there is only 1 electrical light source/ point situated in the center of the living room. I would prefer not to install false ceiling. I am aware that you can use "Track Lights"/ "Trunking" to pull or split the wires accordingly to add multiple light points across the living room, but I find that a little "messy". Any ideas? Is there any other way to add electric light points without Trunking? The last resort would be to install a false ceiling? Thank you ?

Hello all experts, My first post in renotalk! Any idea what spots these could be on the drop ceiling in my new place? It's basically the whole drop ceiling - yard, kitchen, walkway, one toilet that has the spots Note: This unit I bought is unoccupied for about 1.5 years i.e. the owner took keys from developer but never moved in. ID and ceiling person happily declare "it is mold" and "suggest" me to replace the whole drop ceiling (obviously need to pay).

Hi everyone, I just collected my house keys for my BTO and my unit is on the top floor. When I inspected the house, I noticed that both my MBR and Common Toilets have full false ceilings installed. I am just wondering if this is how it's done for everyone nowadays? And it's weird because I thought toilets not allowed to have false ceiling or at least not as low as my house one (definitely below 2.1M...). TIA!

Hi forummers, Can anyone give any advice to the options for lightings and 'hiding/beautifying' wire tracks or other trunkings that I can have if I do not want a false ceiling or L box? I hope to preserve my ceiling height and also save some money from not building the false ceiling/L box... So far, I think for lightings wise, I can only opt for track lighting? Is it that with track lightings, no 'wire trails' will be exposed except for the track?? And anyone has had any innovative solutions to my problem? Sorry for asking silly questions .... not sure if they are totally irrelevant because I really have no idea what I can do or cannot do. Just starting to do some research for my renovations now...and feeling like a headless housefly...
