Hi I would like to ask you experts a question on how to remove the golden keyhole structure as shown in the pictures below please? Basically the reason why im removing it is because the key can no longer fit in and we need to change the keyhole structure/key slot holder (unsure of what the exact name is) I have removed all the screws already but the golden keyhole structure can't be removed sadly. The protrusion below is forming an obstruction. Need urgent help please. Much appreciated. Thanks

Since i recently bought my new place, i took this chance to upgrade my house starting with a smart lock. I wanted keyless access as i'm super forgetful and always lose my keys. I came across this gold mine while hunting for cheap smart locks, the igloohome mortise (PS. its a Singaporean brand). Here's my honest review of it. Pros: 1) It has a total of 4 modes of access - Bluetooth keys, access PIN, and RFID tags and stickers. (Most smart locks have this too but i was impressed that i got so many features for such a cheap price) 2) Product works offline, which is perfect for my home, since we live in a cluster terrace and our main door is at basement level, meaning it doesn't get any Wifi connection. So any smart lock that requires wifi connection wouldn't work for me. Since it works offline, is that there is greater security, it is less prone to getting hacked over the internet. 3) I can check whenever my kids come home (Bluetooth key). I always worry if kids get home on time from primary school, but now i can check if they've reached home as the app sends notifications when they enter. That's a life changer for kan chong Singaporean parents like us. 4) One time pin. Comes in handy when someone needs to enter the house but no one's at home. I have a cleaning lady that comes every week to tidy my place. I'm able to create a one time pin for her which works for a specified period. 5) CHEAPER than most global brands like epic, Samsung and Yale and quality and reliability is not compromised. Cons 1) unable to connect to smart hubs or smart speakers like amazon echo, so you cant tell Alexa or the google assistant to lock or unlock the doors for you. 2) The app will not send notifications if someone enters via access pin, since it is not WiFi enabled. Only if your guest uses the Bluetooth key, you will be notified. If you want to check your access logs for the PINs you'll have to “update” your master phone by using the Bluetooth key on the lock. (not really an issue for me since my kids use Bluetooth keys) 3) Guest have to download the igloohome application if they want to use the Bluetooth key access feature. (may be a hassle) Final thoughts Overall, you're still definitely getting a good product for your money, for the features you're getting. I am a strong advocate for this product as it definitely improved the quality of life for me and my family and i highly recommend it to all homeowners, especially if you want less worries in your home life.

Visit our Facebook page @windowsafesg to purchase your window restrictor for your windows. https://www.facebook.com/windowsafesg/ Selling at $35 per piece (without installation); you can get your contractor to install for free! However, if you need installation, we do provide installation package as follows: $72 base price (1 to 6 pieces); $12 per subsequent pieces. See description below for more information regarding this window restrictor, a product from United Kingdom. ...... The window restrictor is lockable, and can be unlocked using a key if necessary, and the window will then be able to be opened fully. Due to this reason, it is possible to fit the Max6mum lockable window restrictor on fire escape windows, provided that the user keeps the key within easy reach. One of the important features on the Max6mum window restrictor is the strength of the cable once locked into the locking system. Some window restrictors claim that the strength of the cable exceeds 500kg. However, even though this may be true, it does not mean anything as it is the strength of the cable once locked into the locking system that actually matters. The Max6mum window restrictor, once the cable in locked into the locking system, can withstand forces over 100kg, which is more than enough to take the weight of any child. This is twice the industry standard which is 50kg! The cable itself is made from hardened steel, which makes it extremely difficult to cut. It makes the window restrictor ideal for customers who are based on ground floors, and want to leave their windows open but are afraid that they may be broken in to! What makes the window restrictor even more unique is that the Max6mum Window Restrictor is Biomaster Protected – Protection against the dangers you can’t see. Biomasterensures effective antibacterial protection for the effective lifetime of the product, helping to keep surfaces clean and hygienic, and reduces the threat of cross-contamination from harmful bacteria – such as MRSA, E.coli, Campylobacter and Listeria and even viruses like the common cold and influenza. Window restrictors, especially those found in commercial properties such as schools, hospitals and hotels, are often handled by many adults and children and can therefore facilitate the spread of harmful infections. Biomaster AT300 suppresses the growth of algae, mold, mildew, fungi and bacteria which cause unpleasant odors, discoloration, staining, deterioration or corrosion only. Manufactured products incorporating Biomaster AT300 may not make any public health claims relating to antimicrobial activity without first obtaining an EPA registration for the manufactured product which permits such claims.
