Hi, this is my bathtub done by Absolook Interior Design. Didn’t know it would turn out like this as it happened when I gave birth and was in hospital subsequently on confinement. I would like some opinions on whether this is the norm? Or is is acceptable? Or is there any breach of safety standards? Coz I feel that the hot water pipes are too high and dangerous for my 3 kids, and that this is a landed property, surely an interior designer would not propose such dangerous idea?

After 20 years of living in my apartment, the kitchen and bathrooms are getting old. For examples: 1) the bathtub has a few chipped surfaces in a few areas; 2) the kitchen and bathroom wall tiles are showing some small cracks; 3) the vanity top has a few chipped surfaces and small cracks. Instead of doing the standard hacking and renovating which can get very messy and noisy as the occupants have to continue to live in the apartment, I am exploring the option of refinishing and reglazing the affected bathtub, vanity top, and wall tiles. Has anyone done this in your home before? Does the finishing quality looks good? Do the refinished/reglazed surfaces have quality issues such as peeling, cracking, bumps, etc.? Do you have any good contractors to recommend if you are pleased with the outcomes of your refinishing/reglazing work? Thanks!

Hello everyone, I am a newbie here, and hope to ask a question to the renovation veterans on this forum. I am thinking of buying an HDB, and plan to do the renovation as indicated in the figure below. What is my chance of getting HDB to approve this renovation plan? I need to know my chance before buying this flat -- if the chance is too low, I might give up on this flat -- since I really want to have a 1.7m long bathtub. I really appreciate your expert opinions on this. Thanks! Alan.

Hi guys! We've decided to put a bathtub in our HDB flat. With a little bit of squeezing, one with a length of 1500 will fit in there. We'll also be placing a rainshower in that area, so now we're shopping for a screen. We don't want a permanent screen or an ugly curtain, but my dad (lives in Holland) has a folding bath screen, something like the picture below. Does anyone know if we can find something like this in Singapore? I tried buying it on eBay or Amazon but they don't ship to Singapore...
