my gas things has been rectified by Teka.. they did it the next day after i called on tuesday, very happy.. apprently they delivered the wrong hob, they changed the burners for me fast and prompt service!! .. phew.. i called them and said i appreciated their efforts.. the lady sounded happy..guess i made her day..

ikea... can only stop gently if you close the door gently..

i think 2.5k or so..the 3 seater( centre un-reclineable ) and the 2 seater.. both reclineable total cost 3.8k during GSS sale at cellini's. oh.. this is good price.. look for yee sin online.. 180 without the white laminate you see.. 200 with.. my advice is take the white laminate option.. can wipe without worries or splinters..

Finally my home is done.. except for my gas connection.. need help!!.. more on that later.. here goes... 1 more thing.. reno guy or 'Tao chiu' cleans up deligently everyday as much as reasonbly possible.. I like.. dunno if all reno guys do it but, i think its a matter of 'heart'..

have a funny story to share.. the power of aunties with thick skin.. bwahaha.. Ok, my main door used to have a Bah Kwa mirror thingy, I took it to the temple to dispose. So the previous general reno by HDB, they painted around the mirror, so there is a 'paint hole' there where the paint is different and looks funny. There was a complaint that the area above my corridor was leaking, so the HDB worker guys came to putty it out and give it a spanking new paint. They had to do the puttying and painting on different days. My mum saw the when they were puttying and Kaypoh abit, ask them why, how etc.. then told them to help paint that 'paint hole' of ours.. they said ok.. the day came when they had to paint and my mum told them where to paint to cover the paint hole, then because there were spotty areas in the ceiling above the corridor, my mum told them to patch it up.. here's the description: Mum:" hey hey Thambi, you come liao ah.. dun forget my door there ok?" HDB worker guys:"ok, ok " OK, finish the paint hole liao Mum:" Hey Thambi, the area you paint over the putty not even( the corridor ceiling them patched ), can patch it up? " HDB worker guys:"ok, ok " Mum:" Hey over here too.. " Mum:" Hey over there too.. " Mum:" Hey over here also.. " then the HDB worker guys abit stun ... my mother like their 'foreman' like that.. then my mum gave the killer line: Mum:" Aiya.. can lah..look nicer " and said "Tang Kiuuuuuu..." end result they painted the ceiling ledge of my corridor infront of my door for about 2~3 meters left and right, thingk total they painted 4~5 metres, almost reach the neighbour's front door area of the corridor ceiling ledge.. my fren and I were there that day, and we were in the living room watching my house reno.. and we heard.. we 'Aum Chio' ( giggle, try to hold our laughter in ) and run to one of my room to laugh.. my fren said.. bwahaha.. your mother power..!! we kept on laffing for along time.. mimicking the conversation between the HDB worker guys and my mum.. my fren acting as mum: "hey paint here ..hey paint there.. hey paint the whole corridor!! Look more even...bwahaha " me acting as my mum: "hey paint here, hey paint there, aiya paint the whole block look even..bwahahaha " but the HDB worker guys were nice to do it, did not give chao bin .. just a huh? and got on with it..think they will black list my corridor bwahaha.. after they did the paint.. I could see they bated a rather hasty retreat..kekeke so.. sometimes, I go shopping with my mum and she start to bargin... I will feel paiseh.. but for things I know that can bargin one and it is something I need or like, I send in the heavy artillry.. most of them cannot withstand the heavy assult.. bwahaha.. but sometimes, i know the reasonable price etc.. I tell my mum to lay off a bit after I can see the shop owner getting pissed..

my ikea Pax wardobe has arrived.. mine cost ~500+, my parent's cost ~500 plus, combo of accessories chosen by ourselves, will post pix when I have my camera, realise my phone take crap photos. took many pics, when view on my PC, look like ****e, doesn't do the furniture justice.. Paid extra 7% for the Ikea wardrobe and my dining table to be assembled. Happy with the result!!! Most importantly, I like my reno guy's honesty and his 'Tao Chiu' The 'Tao Chiu' 's workmanship on my partition is good. He looks after my house, tells ppl not to use my MBR toilet, confine themselves to the common toilet etc..Give nice pointers etc.. The reno guy always trys to engage the 'Tao Chiu' for all his reno projects as he himself get peace of mind..( My mum found out. ) And my reno guy, who knew of my small budget, agreed to absorb labour charges for my kitchen flooring after discovering they couldn't use acid wash to clean my kitchen floor. There were too much cement and holes in the area where the old 'cement cabinet' wash basin was. He also made good pointers when I told him what I wanted, he told me what I should box up, what I dun really need to do, what is cheaper etc..Can trust him.. Only did overlying over the existing tiles, but I'm grateful for the guesture..Painting is still ok, and prices quoted so far is reasonable, I will try to ask for discount again when i make final payment. Hi guys? any recommendations for vacuum cleaners? Looking for bagless with hepa filter output. It seems philips and dyson or electrolux have such models. dyso is more expensive, wanna know of the suckingpower is worth it or th other 2 brands are comparable. Dyson is grandfather of cylone technology, but dunno suction power. electrolux has cylone technology, but dunno power compared to dyson'sbase model. philips has no mention of cyclone technology, but rather a self cleaning technology. Samsung has cyone technology too..360 sucktion power.Has hepa models LG aslso has the same bagless and hepa. Have cyclone.. no spec on Hepa filter What bagless vacuum cleaners are you guys using? Want a bang for buck with certain quality... Seems like samsung or Electrolux. Dyson is premium. philips has no cylone action and is out and LG is unknown..
