For my case, the cement screeding is done by my ID. Your ID just need to get the free materials (cement, sand).

Guys, I went to the Four Season Window Studio near KFC to get quotation for my roller blinds. Guess what? The initial quote was $1980 for all the windows of my living room & 3 bedrooms. Within just 3 minutes, the price drop to $1,500. Hate this kind of "koto-ing". Anyway, I went IKEA to get all my roller blinds in the end and end up only spending $400 in total. Even if IKEA's do not last, I can still change another 4 more times from the savings.

Probably the person who had designed our estate is a non-driver?

I think you can get planks almost every hardware shop. Besides the frame, probably u need the wall plug & screw? As for what else can replace the frame, I'm not too sure.....probably you can pop by IKEA to take a look @ their options, but don't buy the planks from them as IKEA's planks are made from chipboard.

I remembered reading in of our LG page that someone changed the shower head & it works. However, I cannot remember who. Try searching throught the pages.

I'm getting this Panasonic model CS-C9EKZW x3 (CU-3C20EKH) from my ID with no top up & no upgrade of insulation & piping. Is it good? http://www.panasonic.com.sg/web/pid/784/Spec

First of all, you need to know the exact weight of the items (plus buffer for gravity) that you are going to put on that DIY shelving. Then, select a few nice "L-shaped" frame to support the planks. Do take note that the heavier the weight of the items, the bigger these frames will be.

Nope, I'm not referring to the bulb.一分钱一分货.

Heard IKEA lightings don't last cos poor quality. In fact my electrician disagree to fix any lightings from IKEA.

The whole TV console is made of wood, but the exterior I think is laminates. The scratch is directly @ the centre of the TV console. Was thinking of either painting over it or applying lacquer, but not sure how disastrous it will be if things went wrong. Currently I'm covering it up using my CRT TV, but after I shift, I will be using LCD, so no way to cover it anymore. I will try to take a pic over this weekend...cos quite a number of stuffs to shift....hee hee

Agreed totally!!!

I thought T8 is more expensive than T5? T5 is the normal fluroscent tube right? One thing for sure is 3ft is more expensive than 2ft or 4ft. No harm getting a 4ft though.... For my case, I just leave the centre dark spots as it is, as it really didn't bother me cos ultimately cove lights are for ambience only....too bright will spoil the ambience too....better leave some dark spots for mesmerising effect. But if it really bothers one to achieve uniformity by reducing the centre dark spots, by all means go get a T5 or T8, cos it's just a small percentage of the whole reno cost.

Hi, I have a scratched TV console which I intend to use @ my new house. Anybody have any suggestions to how to "repair" the scratch? Looking into self DIY only and not sending it for re-lamination.

Anyway I'm not in a hurry to move in so it's still quite OK lor......but of course there is a limit to my patience.

For my unit, it still looked the same as 2.5 weeks' ago. And this Fri is supposedly the handover date. Till now, only the tilings, false ceiling & lightings are done. Still pretty long way to go....& very delayed.....Sighed!!!! On the contrary, I will advise you not to shift the T5 cove light. Cos when you try to eliminate the centre dark spots, both ends will have more dark spots. If you can afford to have one more lighting point, add one 3 feet to overlap in the centre (considering the extra $ in wiring, fixing the point, & installing the lights in addition to the extra T5 light cost - Estimated about $60 in total). Else, leave it.

I heard from my ID that it's Civil Defence ruling that @ least one of the steel ventilation plate must be in 'open' position. Guys, I heard from my friend which is also staying @ the same block as me saying that the unit on top of hers was doing reno now and that caused her unit's ceiling & walls to have cracklines. Anyone else encounter this issue?

Gotten my Samsung LA40650A1M @ $2399 with 5 years' BEST DENKI warranty, $400 Robinson voucher, HDMI cable with either a Samsung Blu ray or a HTS @ Comex in Sept. But I think you have more free gifts than me like the fridge right? Any other free gifts? For my case, I will strongly recommend other renotalker not to use my ID for the amount of stress and pain that he has given us.....ha ha ha...
