There are 2 methods. A) You can follow the method that is written on the piece of paper that is put on the toilet seat of both toilets. B) Call Jovi to ask the plumber to come to adjust the water saving feature water level for the toilet bowl.

From what I heard from my ex-colleague, if you have carpets or rugs @ home, it gets 'choked' very easily.

Gotten my Samsung LA40650A1M @ $2399 with 5 years' BEST DENKI warranty, $400 Robinson voucher, HDMI cable with either a Samsung Blu ray or a HTS @ Comex. Not sure which 2 choose. Any advice on to take the Blu ray or the HTS?
-
Thanks for your sound reasoning. Anybody has anything on the Samsung model? Cos from what I heard from the sellers, the Samsung one is even better than the Sony Bravia because with the high definition DVB-Terrestrial tuner now conveniently built into LA40A650A1M, the LCD TV can receive high definition terrestrial broadcasts without a set top box, complicated wiring or extra power. Picture quality is also optimised with the integrated tuner. The external set top box cost $299 & Sony Bravia does not have this feature too. However, wonder if anyone really have seen or is using this set for comments.

Anybody has any comments about this Samsung LCD FULL HD IDTV LA40A650A1M? This is selling @ a neighbourhood store @ $2500 (after GST) and Mega Discount Store @ $2399 (after GST). It also comes with either a Samsung Blu-ray or a HTS. Comex is selling the non IDTV version LA40A650A1R @ $2499 with the same free gifts. My second option is the Sony Bravia KLV-40V400A, selling @ $2499 @ Comex with a $400 Isetan voucher & additional free gift. Not too sure which one to choose...

But I tot got to consider the suction power too? Still @ home...cos very rainy day today... Tat's a very good idea...ha ha!

I also went....was tempted to get the 42PFL4722/98 FULL HD LCD @ $1499 or 42PFL4782/98 FULL HD LCD @ $1599 (usual $3599), but my bro research for me @ home that this model is **** old liao & with a lot of complaints (People are saying that these 2 models don't really function as FULL HD & resolution is very lousy). There is also people commenting that the 42PFL4782/98 is selling @ the same $1599 @ the Harvey Norman Warehouse Sale, but got $200 vouchers too. My conclusion is to wait for next week's Comex to see what Harvey Norman got to offer. Vacuum cleaner is cheap. Still undecided to get the FC8734 @ $199 or FC9200 @$399 or FC9064 @ $228. Will go down again to see tomorrow.

Hey, no prob man.....but the technicality is that when they remove the frame & the bi-fold door, hopefully the frame is still reusable cos from the way I look @ it, it is just using silicone to fix to the wall (hopefully no hidden screws). Also, there is a slight difference in width of the bi-fold door in replacement for the MBR door, so got to either use more silicone or plaster to fill the gap. Your ID should know the trick. ;P Mayer & Philips Warehouse Sale ends this Sunday. There is also free shuttle bus (every 45mins) @ Bedok MRT (Factory side). Do take note that if you buy the display sets (brand new too except no box & only 6 month's warranty) there, there is a $29.90 delivery charge but if u buy "new" sets (brand new, boxed & 1 year warranty), it's FOC. The price difference between the boxed & unboxed is anything from $200 (hoods) to $800 plus (ovens). You have to judge for yourself if the additional 6 month's warranty is worth the price difference (which I don't think so, unless touch wood.....). Another thing to take note is that they can hold the item for only 1 month, thereafter will have additional $40 surcharge. Of all the things @ the Mayer Warehouse Sale, only 3 items are really good deals. They are the ovens, the hoods, & the hobs......as for the fridge & washer, I think you can get better deals elsewhere from other brands. Lastly, & maybe quite important to some, the mode of payment is only via cash & card. NO installment plans & I also don't recall seeing any NETS.

Collected my keys today too!!!!! Found a minor defect (common toilet basin water stopper not functioning) & MBR toilet door is a big issue (gonna remove that & replace it with the service yard bi-fold door).... Also went Mayer Warehouse Sale & bought my cooker hood & hob @ 43% off retail price..... Hope can find good real deals @ Philips Warehouse Sales tomorrow!!!!

Well, I'm not with LRI, but I do know a few LRI people. More familiar with Mabel's team for Ordnance & B Vehicles spares. If you both are in her team, probably I know you 2 as well. Free Parking? Sounds good....but the info from where?
-
I'm looking @ Samsung stuffs......probably they can't wait to get rid of Samsung's product? Hee Hee Wah, 1 week before Comex 2008 leh.....don't know which one is cheaper & can get better deals.....
-
Went to the Harvey Norman Sale, & saw nice bargains.....but the sad thing is the latest delivery date is by the end of the month. Sighed!!!
-
Wah...so coincidental.....which unit are both of you from? Maybe more of us are from the same unit or are related somehow?

I was like you too 2 months back, but my advise to you is to lie down @ least 10 to 15 mins & try all the beds & make a record of those that you feel is comfortable for you & your partner. Usually, men are on the heavier side as compared to their partners. However, both of you have to compromise your comfort level and of cos to be within your budget. Do take note that branded does not necessarily mean that it is comfortable to you and/or to your partner. Don't trust what the sales people say cos end of the day they just wana close more sales.

I just log on to the HDB portal. My appt to collect my keys is 19th Aug 08, but I changed it to 22nd Aug 08 so that I can have a long weekend. Yipee!!!!
-
If I'm not wrong, there is however a guideline to which kind of solar films you can use under the renovation guide of HDB. I think cannot use those reflective type. You can check it out in the HDB website. I also intend to use solar films for my windows to prolong the lifespan of the furnitures as well as reno. Click under "Examples of Renovation Works Not Allowed" http://www.hdb.gov.sg/fi10/fi10205p.nsf/WP...ed?OpenDocument

Agreed totally!!!
-
You also can get them @ Home-fix. Only difference is you got to DIY. Alternatively, you can search for contacts in yellowpages.

I just called HDB to check this morning. They said they are giving out the keys to those en-bloc pple 1st thereafter it will to those walk-in. Targetted date is by end of Aug. To me, the later the better so that we can hit into the Hari Raya Sale as well as yearend Sale. I'm staying on the 7th floor. Btw guys, I just heard from the radio that there is some Harvey Norman Warehouse Sale this weekend @ Expo or something like that. Hope I didn't hear wrongly as I cannot find any info on this in the Net.
-
Heard from my friend that he just received letters from HDB to collect the keys for his unit @ Blk 221A on 11th Aug 08. I have not received mine yet. Anyone else has received it?

There are a few neighbourhood electrical stores that are selling cheaper than Courts, Harvey Norman, etc. Only difference is that they do not throw in freebies. They all have local warranties. You can google for them. A few of them which I usually use are Ban Kim Chuan, Kong Tai, Katong Mega Discount Store, & Etronin Home Appliances. What you need to do is to give them the model numbers of your seleceted model from Courts, Harvey Norman, etc and they will give you their pricing almost instantenously. Discounts are even as good as $200 off if you pay by cash and with free deliveries for big items. In fact I think a few of them are being listed in this Renotalk forum. If not, you can also go to the Singaporebrides forum to search for them.
