Hi muffyn, OMG! I understand how you feel now. I have been a victim a couple of times with IKEA whereby certain things I want, got dis-countinued. This is happening to IKEA fairly often these days and I wonder why. Besides hunting for it this way, you may want to consider the approach I took. Try IKEA overseas. You can goggle for it. Every IKEA has their own site in that respective country. For example, I wanted to buy a dis-continued Red breakfast tray (BAGN) and I found it available in IKEA Guang Zhou via the website. Fortunately, I know people working there who could buy it on my behalf and shipped it back. Another item is their STALIS Aluminium Blind in 160 x 160. It is still available in their Kuala Lumpur branch. You may run a check and ask someone to buy and ship back for you or drive/fly there to buy lah. AirAsia SIN-KL flight was going at $19.95 the last I heard but dun know still the same or not. In addition, I heard the IKEA in JB is also going to be open soon. These measures can be considered if you are really desperate. Next alternative is...having a carpentery to copy the design for you.

It's approaching the end of our reno path. I must say the above is one of the WORST service we have received in the process of lights purchase. Not only the people there are beng-ish, they are also loud and rude. Absolutely no Customer Service at all. Imagine...I bought a light from one of the manager's who gave me his colleague's name card. When I call to follow up on my delivery, that's when I discovered the 'bluff' in the identity. Manager served me has left for a holiday and his kar kia whose name card he gave was down right rude!!!

There's a couple of painting shops at Holland Village that you may want to try your luck. Seen it there before but not sure if still available. It's the corner few shops on 2nd or 3rd floor. Alternatively, you may find the picture online and have it printed and framed...by a printer of couse

Hi, I am having my WIW leading to the Master Bathroom too. Will install a ventilation fan and also have a frosted glass door. As to the possibility of water leaking from the bathroom into my WIW....wah...I don't want to think so far. Life is short. Think will cross the bridge when I get there. Bottom line is, that possibility is not that high lah. Unless sway to the max... After all, for logistic reasons (especially to a woman)...it makes sense that the WIW and bathroom being next to each other, creates a smooth flow for cleaning and dressing up.

Thanks ylucy. Me too but I ordered from a hardware shop and they coming over to my place on Friday to install. Total for 1 x living room and 2 x bedroom at somewhere $180-190. We will buy the curtains some where else.

Based on the initial findings from their website, it seems more then what we intended to spend. We have more or less settled for this from IKEA. Cheaper...

IMO, it's always better to be debt free. It gives you a peace of mind and can sleep better bah. No need to worry about retrenchment etc. Investments are best done when you have lesser commitment as it involves risk. So you have to decide which path you wanna take...
