Good progress and I like the entrance to ur toilet!
-
Hehe, yah. Yeak is very nice in that way. Very chin cai and not niao at all.
-
Congrates on ur new home! Wah, must be hard for u guys to stay apart. Hope tat ur reno will start and end quickly!
-
Well, to have a spacious & airy kitchen and maybe with an island is lots of women's ideal kitchen. Maybe tat's what ur mom was thinking about and didn't realize that she'll need to keep the kitchen neat all the time?

Ur MBR heater only have 1 way tap right? The plumbers ask me to get a two-way tap leh. I guess that was why he didn't use the 1-way tap bah. I wanted to use 1-way at first, cuz there's no need for me to have the tap in MBR. But they will need to rerun pipes to my heater and tat will spoil my mosaics and not allow me to install the wire baskets to put my toiletries. Hehe, nope nope. That one is called hot and cold water tap. There's a tap tingy tat has 2 levers (see pic). One will allow u to on ur water heater, the other to let water out to eg: fill pails with water. A one-way tap will only allow u to on/off ur heater's water flow. (like the one rondy has in his MBR toilet) PS: preciousjam, hope u dun mind me posting the pic to show kthc wat's a 2-way tap.

Hehe, thanks for asking on my behalf! Now still wondering wat types of plants to use. I tink we have either Java or Christmas moss too! Our's planted on a coconut shell tingy, and is still alive. haha Yoz, gaku70! Yupz, talking abt aquatic plants. hehehe.. We did buy those CO2 pills and put one/two tablets in about once a wk when we still had those taller plants. Now left one moss, one plant (duno wat it's called) and afew mini nanas. Kinda like to have different heights of plants to make the tank look more interesting and for the fishes to play around. But agree with you, gota find plants that are easy to maintain. Any tall plants that are easy to maintain? Congrates congrates! U'll soon be able to start reno for ur recess area. No sad, no sad. I'm sure after u explain to them the reasons why u refused, they'll understand and agree to ur reasoning.

Parents & Parents To Be
Angel81 replied to familyof4's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
fox in snow Congrates mummy-to-be and thanks for sharing! Hehe, this goes to show that planning does not mean results. Just go with the flow and we'll hit jackpot. chrono Heheheh.. So now we're stressing ourselves not to be stress! hehehehe.. But hor, I think not checking ovulation dates means lesser stress. Now, I don't think about it all day long liao. hahahaha! Zc31 Good luck good luck! *crossing fingers and toes for u* -
Ohhh, icic. How about coasters, esp those cork coasters? Think they can withstand heat and can see more of the cheerful sunflowers.
-
Oh! I think it's such a waste to put the table mat on such a cheerful sunflower table! The plastic sheet actually made the IKEA table looks nicer.
-
Hehe, will those be epoxy paint? Sounds very nice. I love white tiles, always seem to make small places look bigger than they are. Hee, I'm just glad that mine looks fine in the end. Was kinda upset at first that we no budget to change the toilet tiles. Most welcome! Glad the pics help.
-
The partition looks very nice. Hehehehe
-
Wah, the carpenters very efficient. Hope that the kitchen will be what u wan! As for the switches, I agree with rondy. Since it's complimentary, must as well change all to the same ones. Different ones do look weird.
-
Hehe, thanks! Yupz, we retained the wall tiles. No $$ to change. hehehehe.. Think they are still acceptable, especially after the change in WC/basin and paint.
-
Agree. Ask for measurements. After all, u'll be the one using ur kitchen woh. If next time the work flow is not good, or the cabinets not what you want, it'll be very sad leh. I think so far the overall drawing of ur kitchen is good, as it really helps to visualize. Just ask them to amend on that, and also add in the measurements. At least u'll be able to look at that and ask them to change to ur needs accordingly.

Hi mivec2.4, here are the pics are promised: View of the box up, which is next to my WM, and view of inside. I wanted to do a full height cabinet here at first, to keep all the cleaning stuff, but kitchen too small, so X the idea. However, I used the little space here to keep long-handled stuff like brooms. View of the suspended cabinet in wash area. (Sorry, forgot to take pic of it when the doors are closed. Owe u one pic k? )

Actually hor, I think ur place looks very good, with all the wooden furniture. Looks like a cozy resort. Nowadays, 2nd hand furniture are very well sought after leh. Love ur coffee table, sofa and side table. Reminds me of stuff at Natural Living.

Hehe, congrates congrates! hehehe.. They're really useful. So wat will u be using the 2 racks for? Pots? Plates? Or food stuff? Haha! Me too! Rushed all over the neighbourhood that day to search for them Luckily I found it and gave them to the plumber on the same day. hehehehe.. Hi Five! I used that laminate for my MBR vanity. I think the rest of ur laminates should turn out great too. Haha, another hi-five. Same water heater, same colour also. U know, there's actually a one-way tap included in this water heater. Didn't know it until I saw the box and the plumber has installed my heater and 2-way tap. Now the one-way tap is still in my storeroom. Wonder wat to do with it. hahah
-
Huh? Aiyo, sad. When do u intend to start ur reno?
-
He's good. Agree with roamca. No worries before, throughout and after my reno.
-
Nice gate! It looks so cheerful. hehehehe, and I like the cozy corner too. Nice nice. That dog seems kinda familiar. Was it from ur previous place, next to ur gate?
-
thank you for saying that my stuff look very organized.
-
Hee.. Agree on the rest of the staff not being helpful. The only one I like was an old man named Steven. Jalan Besar tat one mostly China staff. They were more interested in eating than serving us. But when they saw us taking our measuring tape out to measure the width of the baskets, their attitude changed. Haha. U saw the one near the entrance izit? Like what precious said, check out those near the back. Just note that they have different materials also. One of the ss ones seem to appear brighter then then other ss racks, even though they are of the same size. The brighter one cost more.

Hmm, how about exchanging ur cleaning liquids storage with ur pots & pans storage? I think cleaning liquids should be able to fit into one cabinet, and the large space under the sink will be under-utilized. At least the area under the sink will be bigger and should be able to keep ur mom's wok to keep the kitchen clutter free. Hehe, gd that Jason is getting the baskets for u. He'll sure get one tat fits properly into ur cabinets.
-
Har??? Really ah? Alamak, I using IKEA jar leh. Hmm, looks like I'll need to go get a Lock & Lock liao. hehehe, thanks for the tip! Hehe, I hope it's just my thread's title and not my decor that makes the song plays in ur head. Love that song thou! heheh.. "Country road, take me home, to the place, I belong!" Oh, my contractor box the pipes up for me, it's at a corner of my kitchen. Take a pic to show u later. Easier to describe with a pic. Congrates! 2 more for ur pots/plates? hehehe.. goodie! So ur hb finally sae ok. Har? Sad... That time I talked to a Uncle named Steven, and he was very helpful. Most places I also measured the stuff myself. Hehe, but wen the staff saw us whipping out our trusty measureing tape, they'll approach us to ask if we need help. NVM, just heck care them and enjoy measureing and choosing ur stuff urself bah. So that means u bought the ss basket that i used to put plates?

Hehe, I would suggest that u try IMM's first. IMM got more shops to shop, compared to that stretch in Jalan Besar. Have u gotten ur lights? If haven, u can check out the Hoe Kee at Jalan Besar while searching for lights. It's around there. Save a trip to specially go down.
